If Sanskar would turn negative at some point, do Ragini kinda stuff (murdering rape accuse included), I will guarantee you that despite of the votes, people will not like Sanskar unless the person is a die hard VARUN FAN
We viewers fall in love with characters, their judgements, thought process and the way they are portrayed. They stand tall in our eyes because they do the right things and stand by the right things,.
If they end up going wrong at some point, it can be forgiven. Sanskar was negative at the beginning but his deeds were out of hurt and revenge- that is understandable too.
But yea a character going totally in a negative path is hard to love. And I think only immature people who live in fairy tale world will still stick to that... Realistic people will demand for a better character.
Im sure most of the SwaSan fans were once SwaLak fans. But they moved on because Laksh was portrayed impulsive and weak. The true test would have been if Laksh had done right things and so had Sanskar and then it would be a difficult choice to make.
In Dill Mill Gayye, the fan base was divided between Armaan Riddhima fans and Sid Riddhima fans.. That is a case where you cannot blame anyone for chosing either.. both positive characters.. both with strong qualities...
So I think there are two things that decide which way the fans sway
1. The portrayal of the character
2. The maturity of the viewer
