The observation of Surya, bereftness of Teju, how she missed her Dhamii her blood, her life's strength & a supportive Vikram everything was explained with precision and iwth right amount of emotion. Nothing too exagerating which I think is the best in suspense thrillers

While driving back to his home from crematorium Surya was lost in his thoughts. The two coffee mugs...that was pricking him more. Certainly,Something must be irrelevant here. Some one was coming to meet her.She prepares coffee. Both were having it. He Leaves..she placed the cups for cleaning ,then she moves to her room..taking her saree and cha..no..no..This could not happen. He searched his cigar pack and founs empty. He threw it away " Damn it!"

His house was sunk in darknesd it was. When he started climbing the stairs the house was filled with lights.He turned and saw his father standing near the dining table. He turned again to move

" surya! " his father's voice was inaudible.

"I had prepared rotis for you..you.."

"no thanks!" surya cut his words in the middle.

He stopped again and said" I have told you before..i am not expecting you to do anything for me and please don't expect anything from me either."He jumped and climbed the stairs swiftly.

His father blinked and swallowed his tears back into his eyes. Though it's not new for him..those words were hurting more."I deserve it" he murmured.

Surya knocked the door and found no reply. He opened the door slowly. Tanu was staring at the roof .

"Tanu" he called her.

"bhaiya" she said

"Still awake?? What were you doing..what were to staring at?"he asked

" nothing bhaiya..just now finished my works." She smiled.

"ok!! Did you had your dinner?"

"Yes bhaiya!"

" k! sleep then see you in the morning"he locked the door.

He entered his room mechanically and fell on his bed. He searched for another cigarette pack and got it.but lost interest before he lit it..he pushed it inside his shirt pocket. The hanging young girl's face flashed into his eyes. He remembered that horrible day when he saw his mother in the same way. His eyes fell on the portrait where his mother was reflecting a sweet innocent smile. Hot tears fell on his pillows. He dug his face inside the pillows and started groaning..His body was trembling. The emotions which was suppressed so far had broken its strands.

"bas***dsss..." he shouted.

The postmortem report was irritating him highly..each and every words he saw in his mother's report was repeated here..He banged the pillows repeatedly.

"bhaiya!! Bhaiya!" tanu banged on the doors with worried voice. He regained himself and whipped the tears. He opened the door. She was panicked and worried.

"Bhaiya!! What happened.?? Are you crying?"

He found tears in her eyes .He caressed her head..

"nothing Tanu!! You just go to bed"

"We had decided not to lock our room doors. hadn't we? Then why do you locked your doors now..that made to panick."

"oh!! I am sorry!! I forgot it today.nothing to worry dear..you go"

"k! good night bhaiya" she said in an unconvinced tone.

Surya entered his washroom. He splashed water on his face .He stared his refection in the mirror. Water droplets were trickling down his cheeks..nose and ears. He grimaced as if something pricked him. He rushed out wore his T shirt and ran to his car.?He doesn't have much time to park his car properly.He rushed to the second floor.He opened the house.The house was empty and the bedroom door was locked.He pushed it.It was locked inside. He gathered all his strength and banged on it.It opened widely. Tejaswini who was sitting ready to cut her wrist was stunned.

Surya tucked his hands inside is pockets. His eyes were piercing Teaswini. he leaned on the door and stared her simply. She was freezed.

"Hm! Come on go ahead! Why did you stop?"

She was still in her shock.

" proceed" he said.

He took a cigarette and started smoking.

"No smoking here" Tejaswini bite her teeth in anger

"oh ok" he inhaled it finally once and stubbed it under the feet"

"Fine! Now you could continue..I have seen so many suicides but not a live suicide.come on I am excited" he rolled his eyes and clapped his hands.

A stupid anger caught her suddenly.she raised her knife.

" one minute!"

He stopped her.

"Don't try to stop me..you can't" she said

"Why should I " he shrugged.

"If you are going to cut your wrist then observe the blueline carefully under your wrist..cut there..and your cut must be deep ..otherwise you won't die! Waste of time..waste of blood"

She bite her lips and controlled herself but not not going to step back in her decision. She focused on the artery now

"hey can't you understand what I am saying..see how your hands are shaking..hold your knife stiff..come one"

She tried again but could not.

"huhum!! You are not bold enough like your sister. who gave you the idea of cutting your vein.?.just hang like your sister.that is more easier and less painful. You will lose your conscious as soon as you hung yourself and brain death occurs..simple!"

"God!! Shut up you ..you..get out Mr Leave me to die peacefully" she shouted along with her groaning.

He walked inside her room and held her hand.She tightened her knife.He plucked it from her..she tried to remove it from him and received a hot slap from him.she fell on the bed and rubbed her cheeks.It took some second for her to realize what had happened.

"fool..coward..i thought you must be a strong girl like your sister who stood alone and brought up you"

He removed another cigarette. He turned to her and said" I will smoke..okay"

She was speechless.

"Don't you want to know who killed your sister?" he roared.

"murder.." he murmured." But the postmortem report said"

"Fu*** that report damn it"

She was completely panicked now.He rubbed his cheeks and sighed deeply

"listen !! I don't believe that report..okay"

Tejaswini dug her face in her palms and started moaning.

Now,vikram entered the house with the baffled look.

" hello sir!! You here?? " he found Teju and the red finger prints on her cheeks.

"who slapped you?"

He turned to surya.."Sir!did you hit her..how could you do this" he raised his voice.

"hello hero sir! Where have you been so far?"

"I..I was out to buy sleeping pills for her"

"senseless moron! If I would have delayed for some minutes,she would have accompanied her sister"

"none of your business officer..if it had happened then you investigate both our suicides" said tejaswini ..her face was turned red.

He walked over to her and clutched her arms. He dragged her out of the house.

"Sir! Sir! Where are you taking her?'vikram tried to stop him.

"leave me you bas***d" she shouted..twisted and pulled him back.but nothing could stop him.He pushed her inside the car locked her with hand cuffs and he started driving the car. Soon the car had disappeared leaving vikram alone in the deserted roads.

I love Surya's assumption power.
ohh, I can feel Surya's pain when he saw his mother that way.
& again, the same scene.
But He is a Police Officer, I must say. Hats Off to his professionalism.
So, He hold his father responsible for his mother death.
I love his bonding with Tanu.
So, Surya thinks, his mother death also a murder.
I love his convo with Tejaswini.
But honestly, I dont like the slap.
Its against conduct.
but overall, nice update.
super interesting.
