Come November 2, King Khan turns 50. There are a whole lot of fans outside his bunglow Mannat every year to meet and greet him. But this time it's gonna be different.

The fans are going to walk on a red carpet in Taj Land's End to experience and enjoy SRK's hospitality.

The media, as usual, will be out in large numbers. The journalists will also be invited to the birthday venue.

Says a source, "SRK expects a crowd 300-350 people. It's not going to be easy to control the euphoria and celebration."

The mood for the D-Day has already set outside his house in Bandstand. So naturally, the police has also come into play.

"We want SRK to be safe. He loves meeting his fans but we don't want any untoward incidents on his big day, " says a cop on duty who didn't wish to be named.

Buzz is, a menu comprising of a good mix of Indian and Italian delicacies is being worked upon. Celebratory montages detailing the Badshaah's work in the last 25 years in the industry are in the offing.

He said he will be in Goa celebrating with Dilwale team and his kin, coz he's shooting there.

Didn't he say in an interview he's going to be in Goa shooting Dilwale on his birthday?

Finally, how will you bring in your 50th birthday on November 2?

SRK: I will be shooting in Goa. The kids will be on holiday, so they will join me there and we will have a quiet celebration with the Dilwale team. I know it's my 50th and people expect a big celebration, but if I throw a party, then I will have to invite every single person I have known in my 50 years and that's logistically impossible (smiles and shakes his head). People tell me that 40, 50 and 75 are landmark years. I don't think so. It's just another year.

SRK to bring in 50th with fans

Shah Rukh Khan has a birthday tradition that hasn't altered for years now. Every year on November 2, the actor invites the media to his palatial Bandra residence Mannat and addresses them over coffee and cake. He later waves at the crowds gathered around his house possibly from the previous night, before meeting other friends. This year, however, his 50th birthday, will be different. Instead of hosting anybody in his house, arrangements are being made to host a special party of sorts with his fans.

His team is getting in touch with his biggest fan clubs and inviting them for a meet-and-greet with the actor at a star hotel in the neighbourhood. Says a source, "SRK's team is planning everything with him in the loop of course. His team has gotten in touch with some of his fan clubs and asked them to send a list of the biggest fans who will be attending the event. Wristbands have been made for the invitees to avoid confusion and chaos. Shah Rukh will meet these people in person and later also take pictures with them."

Shah Rukh who is currently shooting for Dilwale in Hyderabad will arrive in Mumbai on November 1. He will head to Goa after the celebrations to resume the shoot.
