SwaLak and SwaSan : Pyaar ke do alag roop!!!! *A Swaragini Review*
Direct LINK : SwaLak and SwaSan Pyaar Ke do alag roop.
What an eventful week of episodes!!! WOW.
Swaragini has been on a roll and how!!! No I am not complaining rather appreciating the fact that the makers did not let the entertainment quotient drop down one bit after the much anticipated Revelation Sequence'.
This past week saw the aftereffects of Ragini's evil deeds in all its glory. However what caught my interest were the two love angles Swara-Sanskar and Swara-Laksh that played out and the stark difference between the two. While one was the embodiment of selflessness the other had selfishness written all over it.
A look back into the week, specifically Laksh's scenes and you can see that they are the very definition of selfishness. It would make you wonder- Does he know what love is? Is he in love with Swara or is he in love with the idea of loving a girl like Swara? Does he truly repent his actions-words; be it to Swara or Sanskaar like he said? Because honestly there wasn't an ounce of sincerity in anything Laksh did, said or expressed and it was all about what he wants.
As seen Laksh wants to get back with Swara after all that has happened. He apologizes for not trusting her, for insulting her and is confident that Swara would agree to the same because she forgave him. However that bubble is burst when Swara refuses to get back with Laksh, reminds him that he is her sister's husband and will henceforth remain the same; and eventually asks him to move on in life because she has. Laksh does not give up and plays the victim card but Swara puts a stop to it immediately. Every question that Swara asked Laksh came out of the pain that she was subjected to, because of him. Swara was not ready to let him get away with blaming Ragini because in reality Laksh was equally at fault. Sure Ragini plotted and planned everything but the only she succeeded in separating Laksh and Swara was because Laksh allowed her to. Swara reminds Laksh that the decision to marry Ragini was solely his.
Laksh is momentarily silenced but since he is unable to handle the rejection well; forget about respecting Swara's wish, he refuses to give her space and starts pestering her to accept him. When Swara does not budge he almost bullies her to accept him. "Tumhe mere zindagi mein waapis aane padega.' What does that mean? Zabarsasti hai kya?
"Tumhare bolne se humara pyaar khatam nahi hoga...aur main apne aakhon ke saamne tumhe kisi aur ka hote hue nahi dekh sakta" this is something Laksh tells Swara. But wasn't it Laksh who ended their relationship by simply stating so and getting married to Ragini without once thinking about Swara? Laksh is simply showcasing how big a a hypocrite he is by saying he can't see her become someone else' because he did not stop to think even once what it would be for Swara to see him married to Ragini when he was supposed to marry her? Did he show any consideration whatsoever when he rubbed that fact in Swara face over and over again? NO.
Swara may not be holding grudges against Laksh because she is not such a girl. Yes, she was hurt maybe still is but Swara is practical and sensible and the only reason she is refusing to accept Laksh's proposal is because he severed their bond and got married to her sister. Be it her conversation with Laksh or Ragini or Sanskaar; Swara stands by what she says. There is no doubt in her mind when she affirms that she WAS in love with Laksh...that today Laksh is her sister's husband...or when she says she will never go back into Laksh's life. The determination in her voice is unwavering and we know how determined Swara can be.
Bhai tu chahta hai na main khush rahoon...toh bhai Swara ko bolna woh divorce ke liye maan jaaye'. Sanskar denied that he is in love with Swara when Laksh asks him; but even so how can he ask Sanskar to make Swara give him the divorce. That is Swara's decision in which nobody has any say but since Laksh is too blinded by everything around he can't see beyond what he wants. He wants Swara and that's it. He lost his favorite toy once but now he wants it back if exactly what Laksh's attitude is when it comes to Swara.
On the other hand a look back into the Sanskar scenes with respect to Swara this past week and you can see the sincerity, love, pride, faith and selflessness radiating from every frame.
"Jab tak main hoon Swara...tumhe kuch nahi hoga" this dialogue by Sankar right after Swara breaks off even the remaining bond that existed between them speaks volumes of what she means to him. He respects her decision of there not being a relationship between them after he unknowingly hurt her but even so he promises to be there for her, save her, protect her, stand by her...in short as long as he is around, nothing would ever happen to her.
Like I said in my previous article which was dedicated to Swara-Sanskar; Sanskar is not perfect, he is as flawed as any human being but what sets him apart is that he does not shy away from accepting and owning his actions. Ever since he made a firm decision to redeem himself for the wrongs done to Swara he has been nothing but truthful about it. He has stood by her 101% and not faltered even once.
I am reminded of something Parvati Dadi said recently which goes 'Sache rishte wohi hove hai jo musibat ke waqt mein saath khade rehe hai...aur thara aur Sanskar ka rishta bilkul waisa hi hai...Tum dono ka rishta ek aise mod par aake juda jab beta tu ek dum akeli thi. Kisi ko tujh par bharosa na tha...aur aise mein ek Sanskar ki tha jisne aakar tera haath thama. Zindagi ki har kasauti par khara uthara hai tum dono ka rishta". What Dadi points out here is nothing but the truth. Had Sanskar not helped Swara, Ragini's truth would have never come out because Swara would never have a reason to enter the Maheshwari house to start her mission. When things got tougher Sanskar provided the silent strength Swara needed, when she was on the verge of crumbling down he held her from falling apart and in return he never asked anything. He has proved again and again that he is reliable and will never leave her when things get rough. However the same can't be said for Laksh and everyone knows why.
Sanskar fell in love with Swara; he confessed his feelings which weren't reciprocated. Instead Swara told Sanskar that he betrayed her by bringing love into their relationship and at times even taunted Sanskar for falling in love with her. But that never stopped him from loving her. He asked her not insult his love when she tried to but not once did he force her to accept his love. Un-reciprocated love hurts badly and though Sanskar is hurt he totally respects Swara's decision because he knows that you simply can't make a person fall in or out of love and that love does not not come with condition ki I love you, so you better love me too. Atleast Sanskar's definition of love does not seem to be that way because the man respects his love and the woman he loves to wait for her and accept her decision, whatever it is.
" Janta hoon Swara, tum iss rishtey ke liye kabhi haan nahi karogi...Aur main tum par kabhi koi dabav nahi daloonga" With the way things shaped up everybody wants Sanskar and Swara to give their relationship because they have projected how an ideal couple should be during their short stint as Pati-Patni. But what does Sanskar do? He leaves the decision to Swara. Just because his family wants them to get together or simply because he loves Swara and wants their marriage to have a real shot does not mean that is what she wants and he knows this. So he promises to stand by whatever decision she takes. Sanskar's loves Swara so he can't bring himself to ask for divorce but that does not mean he will not give it to her if she wants it.
When Swara refuses to go ahead with the divorce and requests everybody to give her some time to think we see Swara-Sanskar have a heart to heart about the decision that Swara just took. And the only thing Sanskar wanted to know was if she was sure about the decision and this was not some sacrificing mission for her sister. Only when he was sure that Swara does not love Laksh anymore, does not plan on going back into his life and has taken this decision after thinking it through does Sanskar offer his support and promises to stand by her. If this is not selfless love then what is?
Both Laksh and Sanskar loves Swara but while Laksh' love is weak; Sanskar's love is the epitome of strength. Laksh's love has always been weak which is why he got married to Ragini at the first opportunity a trouble presented and his love is still weak because he simply wants to get back Swara in his life not WIN' her back. There is a huge difference in the two. Just a few days back she was a characterless girl for him and all of a sudden he wants her back. Laksh is being unreasonable and inconsiderate towards Swara as a person as a woman. Atleast if he was a little more sensitive towards Swara one would have understood his dilemma but he is adamant about what he wants and that's about it. Sanskar on the other hand is giving Swara space, respecting her wishes which is probably why Swara seems to be affected by everything that Sanskar does or says in comparison to Laksh. When Laksh proposes the idea of getting back together, Swara does not even give Laksh a reaction let alone an answer. Instead she looks at Sanskar, her expressions that of hurt and feeling of betrayal; walks to him and questions him why did he lie and bring her to meet Laksh. She is hurt because she believed Sanskar knew her better but his actions proved otherwise and that hurt her. It hurt her that Sanskar assumed getting back with Laksh is what she wanted even though Sanskar had no idea what Laksh was upton. The scene shows how much Sanskar's actions/words matter to her even after Swara claims that there is nothing between them.
Swara breaks of their friendship, plans on dissolving their marriage YET her words to him are "Main hamesha tumhare saat rahoongi" even if it's a promise to come through for him just like he did for her she just affirmed that she will be with him. When Swara decides to announce her decision of giving her relationship with Sanskar a chance/divorce she does not consult with him. Like Swara said she took him for granted and though she feels awful about which is a good thing because it means she is not using him and is aware of her actions and it's implication; still deep inside her heart she knew that Sanskar would understand or atleast she hoped he would and Voila!!! He does. It just shows you that something's are meant to be.
There is a very beautiful saying that goes "Agar tumhara pyar jaana chahe toh usse jaane do ... agar woh laut kar aaye toh woh tumhara hai". Sanskar seems to be following these lines closely and something tells me that Swara will return to him because fate is already playing its game.
