Positives:

  1. Nice. A short intro. I like how they kept it real. The guy is driving at night, feels sleepy, and ends up going over a cliff.
  2. Trisha's struggle with a Hindi word. It was a nice addition to her character.
  3. I liked how CBI was brought in to investigate even though it was ruled an accident. That's kind of what Crime Branch represents as well. Investigating cases that may not appear criminal, but could be.
  4. Raghav's interruption of Rajbir and Vishesh's conversation. It couldn't have been timed better.
  5. Inspector Pant's interruption. Again well done. Any inspector would interrupt and stand by his or her judgment because after all it's about their work.
  6. Raghav's live demonstration. Honestly I knew the moment I saw that car door fall in the intro scene. But I still liked the live demonstration.
  7. Rajbir in the chor bazaar. He owned that scene. Loved it! He finally got the importance he deserved!
  8. The flitting between past and present. CVs very, very, very well done. Exactly like it should be. Only showing the important scenes. And nothing else.
  9. Damn that reconstruction at the end was really good!
  10. This time around the criminal was very hard to guess. At one point I did think it was Vishesh, but then I suspected Shashi, and then Rashid, and then I went back to Vishesh, only to think it was Bhadri. Really well done.

Negatives:

  1. A psych who provides info himself? Shouldn't there be some talk about patient-doctor confidentiality?
  2. I understand that they know the psych, but even then...taking him along? What if he's behind everything?
  3. The shaving remark. Anyone remember Holmes and Watson? I sure did. Lame CVs. Really lame. That was a direct copy from the books!
  4. Umm...I understand and know premonitions pretty well. We all get them. Anyone ever had the feeling of deja vu? I sure have and it's usually because somewhere in my dreams I saw something happening with me and the next day it happened.
  5. What was Raghav still doing at the accident site? Why didn't they ever clarify that? And alone? He's not a full agent right?
  6. Again the ad of that car site. Whatever the hell it is. Why? Why is it so blatant?!!
  7. Gauri showing Raghav the phone records. Trisha is the boss. So shouldn't she have been informed first?
  8. How come the recordings were titled Dream Journal - 01, 02, and 03? And why weren't there more?
  9. You can find out information about people from Google? Really?
  10. And how did you know for sure that the Akhilesh Rajawat you were looking for is right? Shouldn't you have called them all in to talk to them?
  11. The Akhilesh Rajawat thing happened on Sunday, the last dream sequence of the 3. So how does Raghav explain the first 2 dreams?
  12. Why does Trisha ask Raghav everything? Shouldn't she try to solve the case herself as well? I'm sure if you spent time on the statements like Raghav was doing you could solve the case yourself as well.
  13. If someone is given chloroform then they're unconscious. Knocked out. How the heck did Basant drive the car?!!
  14. The me attitude. I didn't like the ending where Raghav said Shashi came to me. He came to CBI. And CBI got Vishesh and Tina. Not just Raghav alone.

Overall not too bad, but not too good either. They cut too many corners and left too many questions as you can see above. But still the positives were worth a watch as well. They kind of messed up about halfway through. Halfway through it was like another writer had taken over or something.

Facepalm again. Why mumbai.? And this cliff near vikhroli, where exactly?
The suspense was good. We could never guess the killer!

The CVs are improving day by day...

^ I have honestly stopped caring about that. Our saying anything is not going to make the CVs realize that they have to stop doing that. So I ignore it now.

Hi Shreya!

Exams finally got over and I am relieved. Logged in intermittently but could comment only now.

Watched both episodes today.

The cliff wala episode was okayish, I liked some scenes like the chase by Rajbeer and the incorporation of the dream sequence which made it more engrossing.

Yet I didn't really feel all the bits came together to make a coherent whole. The episode felt too disjointed for me, and I had misgivings from the moment the psychiatrist voluntarily came forward to share his patient's condition- doctor-patient confidentiality, anyone? But I excused it thinking that the circumstances called for it for him to make the revelation.

Certainly the teddy bear episode is the better of the two. The cliff wala car one wasn't bad, but with this I actually loved the intermixing of the interpersonal dynamic along with the case. I really loved the concept of teen bandar and how it was incorporated too.

Not to mention I loved how vulnerable Raghav was and how Trisha was the one who saved him, a la Jane and Lisbon :D And for once Trisha was the case solver and smartly put the pieces of the puzzle together. I think she smelt something fishy right from the time the doctor devoted all her attention to Raghav.

As you succinctly pointed out in your comment on another thread, the episode did have some pitfalls, but they were negligible considering how the case details were presented. The whodunit factor perhaps wasn't there, but it really didn't matter.

And the Raghav-Trisha shipper in me had a seeti maro moment at their playful banter in the end

Looking forward to today's magician wala episode. Seems intriguing. Will try to post comments later.

Ciao😊

P.S. Deepali quit? OMG. That's sad, but I can understand where she's coming from. But even Van Pelt had less screen presence in the original series.

^ Yet even Van Pelt had a properly etched out role. She was smart, if a bit naive at times, held her own against a criminal, was good at interrogations, had her witty moments, and so on. But with Gauri it wasn't alway so well-etched. She was mostly standing in the background and even her tech savviness was nothing much compared to some of the tech experts I've seen in other Indian crime shows.
