Zindagi Gulzar Hai & Adini Feriha Koydum

Dear friend,
Two great love stories Zindagi Gulzar Hai and Adini Feriha Koydum have some common chsracters
The female lead (Kashaf/Feriha) comes from a poor family and joins a high class university then she faces class discrimination
The male lead (Zaroon/Emir) belongs to a rich family but his family is almost careless about him
The girl's mother (Afia/Zehra) is a strong person who tries her best to protect her kids and give them a better future
The girl's father (Murtaza/raza) is a very strict father
The boy's university friend (Asmara/Hande) has her own good and bad qualities

It will be interesting if we discuss these pairs and point out the differences between them

Zindagi Gulzar Hai, is one of my favt series of all times. More like a Classic to me, Whereas Feriha has not worked for me as I wasn't able to connect wid the lead. Regarding Differences, I agree with the similarities but Kashaf didn't lie abt her background. She was very very dignified and more headstrong than Feriha. She loved her mother and wasn't ashamed of her lower middle class background which makes her one of my favt characters. She was ashamed of her father's 2nd marriage. Then, Zaroon my love! ❤️❤️ He may have been rich and spoilt but he wayy egoistic and chauvinistic. He was very very flawed yet adorable and that made me wish to marry him. Then, Zindagi Gulzar Hai was anything but a fairy-tale and both leads weren't attracted to each other as shown in Feriha. They rather detested and hated each other.. and with time, with growing maturity they started loving each other. The situations Kashaf went thru and Umera's writing were so very real that every girl identified with her monologues. But with Feriha, Im not able to identify with her, but again that's just me as her calling her father, her driver and her mother, her maid was sumthing that I didn't liked at all. Thats the diffrences I found in both shows, And again no offence meant to any of it's fans.😊

Kashaf was never ashamed of her background. The chamak dhamak of the rich didnt sway her. No handsome guy in a car could make her forget her ideals. Feri lacks all these things. Personally I see her little more than a liar)

The male lead (Zaroon/Emir) belongs to a rich family but his family is almost careless about him (Zaroon is a hard working guy. How did Emir get in that university? Merit or quota IDK. Zaroon is also a chauvinist & lot more arrogant than Emir. Also, Zaroon's family background is very sound. He comes from a happy home inspite of his constant complaints about his mother while Emir on the other hand is pretty much lonely & ignored & comes from a broken family & their family lives reflects in both of theirs choices in life. I find Zaroon a lot more mature than Emir but maybe we can credit that to Zaroon being older than Emir in the show?)

The girl's mother (Afia/Zehra) is a strong person who tries her best to protect her kids and give them a better future (Both these ladies have worked very hard over their children. They are both remarkable women👏)

The girl's father (Murtaza/raza) is a very strict father (I dont think Murtaza can be compared to Riza at all. Riza, inspite of all his orthodox behaviour & ideals cares for his family. Murtaza on the other hand has abandoned his family a long time ago & is an utter A-hole. Even Emir's absent father is better than Murtaza)

The boy's university friend (Asmara/Hande) has her own good and bad qualities (Asmara loved Zaroon & in a way she did have a right to love him. There had always been an understanding between them that they would most prolly end up together & even their families always sort of assumed it always. Also, Asmara had a lot of dignity unlike Hande who is okay with drugging people, publishing their photos to create MU, locking up her friend for another MU, getting a girl expelled. She doesnt care if she even hurts Emir, a man she says she loves, in the process as long as she gets what she wants. I would rank Asmara way above Hande)

It will be interesting if we discuss these pairs and point out the differences between them

@The.Lannister Love Ur Post!👏👏👏 Feriha and Kashaf are poles apart as Kashaf was sumthing I cud relate to very well. Even I belong to middle class family and for 3 years studied in a renowned university but never had I lied abt my backgroud or got swayed by guys in glossy big cars. Though It was filled with high class rich kids and there you get admission on basis of enterence exams. Kashaf had her self esteem intact and didnt go around lying abt her status or showoff using sumone's clothes. So here, Feriha lags for me as I detest these qualities in a woman. Im not a blind worshipper of feminism but I do belie

No Hard Feelings for anyone. But I seriously think of Feriha as a fairy-tale romance. Or we can call it as the toned down version of those fairytale romances we had in India. We all have cum across those stories where girl lies abt her background and the leads fall in love. I just watched 2 episodes of Feriha, and that was all for me. I hope Zindagi brings more good dramas for Turkey which aren't run of the mills type. I had cum across many good turkish dramas when I went to search for Fatmagul (ie another turkish drama suggested by soomro1) and will be looking forward to if they air. Then, Comparing ZGH to Feriha is no use as ZGH is a classic which introduced me to Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed who are such powerhouses of talent, and OFC Pakistani Dramas which are subtle and showcase realistic love stories.

Feriha deals mostly with Love story,Love at first sight,it focus more on love ,yes they have shown class difference & all but this show main genre is Love

While ZGH is more like social messege kind of show ,I loved ZGH ,it wasn't a love story,while live story was just a part in the story of Kashaf.it don't revolve around Love.

Both shows are different,& believe me before I read this post ,the comparison didn't even came in my mind.

About AFK ,I loved it because I never saw portrayed of emotion & Love this way Onscreen.Never.The chemistry & their lovestory is just Class Apart.The Legendary Love.

Turkish writers & many other call them Modern Romeo Juliet or Turkish Cinderella.
