Mai1moono, read the synopsis of the two movies, they both seem sad though the first at least has a happy ending. The second is tragic. Thanks again for the reco. Hopefully this show is more like the first in that it has a happy ending.

Your post made me look up the story; what a poignant tale.

Thank you so much for providing this information as it makes the concept clearer to me. I must confess that I've only watched sporadically, but now with a better understanding, I will make definitely make the effort to watch.

You are welcome. Sad to read about women during that time went through.

Hopefully, the CVs mix up the short story with the plot of Challia but without Sundar ever doubting his wife.
