Again, I pointed out in my review that it is my subjective perspective😊 So yeah, this is what I felt. The thing is, I watch the show primarily as a mystery series, so if that part is not done properly, I feel disgruntled.

I like Sharad and Aahana a lot, and I feel that they are doing more than the scope the material affords them. But plots/execution wise, the series still suffers from a number of loopholes.

Absolutely agree here. For me it's a mystery show above everything else. And I will review an episode based on that. That being said everyone has their opinion and opinions are bound to be different. 😊

I liked that the intro was short. It was something like 2 minutes. Very pleased with that.

Honestly I didn't feel like watching the episode after reading your review Amruta, but I still did and now I can't say anything more than the below.

Positives:

  1. The bureau's outside has changed. Yes I noticed and that's actually a positive because now it looks more classy.
  2. Trisha actually has something fruitful to do!
  3. The use of social media. Nice. And well done.
  4. Bikram's chase sequence.
  5. Rajbir showing off his sarcasm and strength. At least he had something to do as well.
  6. Trisha's playful punch at the end.

Negatives:

  1. Really? An ad of whatever that site is?!! Puhlease. At least make it more subtle!
  2. An obvious criminal. Yep go ahead and copy the Mentalist some more changing just who gets murdered and why. Obviously we won't know who the murderer is suddenly.
  3. Bikram has to be told to follow the attacker by Raghav? Really?!! If someone wearing a mask rams into you then I think it should be obvious you follow.
  4. Trisha's obvious jealousy. Couldn't you make it a bit less obvious?
  5. Radhika sticking to Raghav. Okay I understand showing her falling for him, but that was a bit too much.
  6. Trisha's overreaction when Raghav eggs Birju on. I just felt that was a bit overdone compared to previously. She never reacted so angrily previously.
  7. Bad side actors. Up to now all the character actors have been really good, but this time around I just winced any time any of them attempted to show any emotion.
  8. Romantic love song in something so serious?!! Really?!! I don't have any particular love for this song ever since I watched the movie and saw how they picturized it, but still really?!! REALLY?!!
  9. Raghav putting phone on speaker. I get being in love, but does that mean you become stupid as well?
  10. Raghav and Trisha's showdown. A bit overdone I think.
  11. YSPT in ARCB as well? I'm sorry but that was not pleasing. Not pleasing at all. Because if it was YSPT then why was Trisha being so jealous? It was all an act anyways.

I'm watching this episode and thinking why? Why did I waste my time? Rating: 1/5

I have no expectations from tomorrow's episode either. Because it reminds me of a CID episode that involved...actually let's not give it away. When it happens tomorrow and if I turn out to be right I'll open my mouth then.

Shreya!šŸ¤—

Oh, I loved the new bureau look too, that too, a night side view, glittering with lights. That was awesome.

Bang on about the positives that you mentioned, I missed those points in my review.

The episode abounded with negatives- the blatant promotion, the song sequence, the endless hugging/seducing, Trisha's obvious display of her jealousy, and of course, the bit about Raghav putting his phone on the speaker.

The only thing I liked to be honest was Trisha busting the stereotype about how women can't have/do it all. That working women can also enjoy cooking. It resonates with a stereotype that all of us grapple with, I guess. And the punch was cute.

And pray tell, what was the use of the "eyewitness" when the only thing she could say again and again was "I am not sure"🄱

I toh loved the song always because I haven't seen the moviešŸ˜†

Oh yes, Shreya, Indu was right about that. I was pleased as punch about the short introduction.

The show is a mystery/police procedural. That is the genre. Of course, the human element is always present in the form of the team dynamics and interpersonal relationships, or even the interactions with witnesses/victim's relatives.

I might be biased, primarily because I watch a lot of such shows. It is my favorite genre and I read a lot in this particular genre too. In fact the only thing I am watching apart from Agent Raghav is a Criminal Minds rerun from S1 on Zee Cafe.

Of course, this is my opinion alone, and everyone is entitled to theirs😊 I am always up for a healthy, friendly discussion.

SK is good at romancing, but in this particular instant, the romance could've been shown in a subtler way. Without the song sequence, for starters.

Amruta about the song - Don't watch it. Don't watch it, don't watch the movie, don't even think about it. I thought hey another spy movie. So what if it's Saif Ali Khan. Let's watch it. I've never been more disappointed. I couldn't make head or tail of the movie (not even after going back and watching every scene pretty much twice). The song...well let's not ruin it, but let's just say it's not picturized the way you would ever imagine or could ever imagine.

We are so alike it's scary. šŸ˜† I also only mostly watch crime shows. Nowadays I'm doing a rerun of CSI NY and pulling mistakes from each episode. šŸ˜†

No but seriously I would love to see a romantic Raghav. It was just a big turnoff that it was to a song, it was YSPT (yeh sab plan tha), it was overdone, and the main thing it just didn't match Raghav's character.

Thanks for the warningšŸ˜† I for one, can't think of a single solo movie where Saif was good- except Dil Chahta Hai and Kal Ho Na Ho, which of course, were ensembles.

I am sorely tempted to watch the song on YT now.🤣 But I will refrain.

Haha, even I was thinking that, we are indeed very alike. Criminal Minds rerun has just started. Most of the time their episodes are well-written and engrossing, so I can't nitpickšŸ˜†. I especially like the way they incorporate profound and appropriate quotes in each episode. Haven't watched CSI NY, but have watched CSI Miami. I also like Law and Order a lot, because most of the time the stories are pretty dark😳

I would have liked romantic Raghav if the girl in question were a certain tall, assertive CBI team leader (I guess I am a full-fledged shipper nowšŸ˜†). Even if it were some other girl, a good back story and some feel good moments. But the song sequence was jarring, and I guess, a big turnoff, as you said.

I think it'd been fine if they had invested two mins at the end to show how exactly Raghav revealed his plan to Trisha and how they planned it all, and how he cleared her misconception. That'd have redeemed the episode IMO.

In the Indian makers of police procedurals' defense- I guess they have to churn out two epis a week, which leads to not so inventive storylines and lack of detail. So i let go of most of my misgivings. But even then, I think there is scope for improvement.

Hello everyone
main fir aa gyi apne review k sath...aaj lagta hai kcuh zyda hi late ho gyi šŸ˜†šŸ˜†šŸ˜†

waise kal ka episode really disappointed tha... jis tarah se promos dikhaye the lga tha solid episode hoga...but really really disappointed with the episode...I mean cv's ne aur director ne kya soch kr ye episode banaya...

only good thing in the episode is Trisha's character... chahe wo social media ka use krna ho ya kitchen me jaane k baat ko lekar raghav ko baat sunana...ya fir end me raghav ko goli marne ka natak...finally ek episode jahan trisha se bahut kuch karwaya gya...but seriously iske liye raghav ko ye sab karwane ki kya zarurat thi...I mean dusre aur bhi tarike the...

radhika k episode me enter hote hi samjh gye the k culprit radhika hi hogi...khud k uper attack karwana... humm... but bikram ko bolna padega kya k follow karo tab hi karega otherwise nhi karega...itna to common sense hona banta hai...and second thing bikram ne attacker ko goli mari uske baad bhi attacker bhag gya... I mean really ye CBI k log hai jo ek zakmi insan ko nhi pakad sakte...aur agar attacker ko bhagana hi tha to koi uska bike pr ya gadi pr wait kr rha hota...aur bikram sirf daudte huye unke piche hota to baat syad hazam ho jati...writer aur director dono hi CBI ko halke me le rhe hai...

Song Sequence ...mujhe to samjh me nhi aaya k uski zarurat hi kya thi...šŸ˜• I know director ko time dia jata hai k itne mintues ka episode kam se kam banana hai...to end me ratri scene rakh lete yaar...

radhika to victim k husband se pyr krti thi naa aur use mare sirf 2 mahine hi huye the...itni jaldi use dobra raghav se pyar ho gya...ye baat mujhe hajam nhi huyi...

mujhe episode me do dialogue achche lage...ek raghav ka... k tumne khel to achcha khela pr khiladi galat chun lia...

and trisha ka : I respect you and i admire you raghav pr apni duty se zyda nhi šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

aahana just superb thi ending scene me...

sare hope pr pani fer thi episode me...and uper se rajbir aur gauri ki quicker ki add... I mean seriously specially scene rakha uss ad k liye...😲

over and all mujhe mazaa nhi aaya episode me...sabse bekar episode lga mujhe ab tak raghav ka

^ Annu, abb aapne keh diya hai toh hum kya keh sakte hein? You were spot on in your assessment of the episode.

Ya, this was perhaps the worst episode so far.

Liked what you said about the two dialogues, they were indeed noteworthy.

Umm...Ek Hasina Thi was a good one. But that was more for Urmila than Saif. šŸ˜† Actually you know what..I can't think of any either. Any of his good solo movies were usually because of the heroines not him. šŸ˜†

Go ahead. You'll never be able to hear the song in the same way again. Ever. šŸ˜† And that's personal experience. I loved the song when it released. And then I watched the movie. Story over. šŸ˜†

Actually I'm finding that in the American crime shows, the first few seasons are really good, but as the show gets nearer to the 5th or 6th season, the CVs start getting careless. They don't make many mistakes, but they will make some obvious ones that stick out.

I had an issue with the song sequence mainly. The rest of it was fine per se. I think if they had just shown a few montage scenes instead of the song it would have had the same impact.

Absolutely. It would have shown how the 2 suspected Radhika and how they came to the conclusion to do this entire YSPT. That's my pet peeve with CID as well. They do YSPTs and never show how the CID team suspected the criminal to begin with.

Even with 2 epis a week, they can do a good job. The issue is that either they don't hire good writers or they don't hire enough writers.
