Even though she has been experimental when it comes to her film choices, in her personal life, Vidya Balan is quite a private person. She has also shied away from social media all this while. Now, the actor has decided to join Twitter.
An insider says, "Vidya has never been a social-media person, and she is joining Twitter only because there are too many fake handles that exist and tweet under her name." Apparently, the actor wants to start tweeting on a happy note, and feels a childhood memory will be a delight to her fans. "Her first tweet will be a black and-white photograph of her as a toddler, draped in a saree," adds the insider. Vidya also plans to use the micro-blogging platform as a way to interact with her fans. "This is a whole new world for her. She has always been aware of the platform, but before this, she never felt the need to personally be part of it," says the insider.
While Vidya remained unavailable for a comment, her spokesperson confirmed the news, saying, "People want to discover Vidya as a person, as she has always been in the news for her professional achievements."
