so i was at a navratri celebration and heard two aunties discussing yhm behind me. they were talking about shagun and surrogacy drama. and when one of them talked about the new promo of shagun/bhoot the other said "THIS is why you don't marry a divorcee! even after dying the "other" one never leaves."
not fair and i live in west! i can only imagine that in a country like india, where divorced people may already be facing tough time, something like yhm's current storyline can't be helping.

sad to see a show that was being progressive regarding infertility has gotten so off track

life is difficult for a divorcee...esp when the first spouse had married with the intention of duping the other person.
My cousin brother got married to this girl, in arranged marriage, unfortunately the family didn't do enough background check or rather those relatives who knew her condition weren't ready to share the info and later my cousin found out that the girl has a mental issue...

she used to act in a weird way...go every 8 days to her parents place n stay there for 15-20 days before coming back to return in next one week.

In the one year that they stayed together, she spent 8 months in her parents house n 4 months with him.

and yet divorcing her, got a divorcee tag to his name. where second marriage was mush more difficult.

that's why i always tell my male friends to be very very alert when going for arranged marriages.

i haven't been watching the show just get teh gist of it from the forum and i don't know what the next is but i know current is not good
based on the convo i heard, i'm guessing raman's taking care of shagun wouldn't have endeared him to these aunties. and instead of "stupid raman" they'd have thought "aha divorcee can't let go of the "other" one"

exactly - from what i understand there's already a stigma related to divorce in india. and what i heard yesterday just made it clear that some of it has traveled over 😒 AND something like showing shagun constantly attached to ishra or raman taking care of shagun is making it worse. it's sad because the divorced couples (one my dearest friends) i know don't hover in each other's lives like this 😕 so that aunties comment generalizing all divorcees like that bothered me
