Dear friends,
Things have understandably been a bit depressing lately, however it is best to look forward to discovering new things once the end of IKNMP comes around.

Considering we are all fans of IKNMP for probably very similar reasons (or maybe not!), what would you recommend in terms of TV shows to pick up to your fellow fans?

Could be on air/off air, Hindi/insert language here/Indian/International etc etc.

For myself, the reason I was drawn to IKNMP was the promise of a mature love story between an estranged couple and their efforts to put their family back together. Honestly I had no idea who RR or PK were but am now such a fan of their work along with AK. I would follow their career anywhere.

So my two recommendations are both US TV shows that sort of touch on that theme:

1. The Americans - A spy show set in 1980s America during the Cold War about a married couple who are actually undercover KGB spies and have been paired together to carry out their mission. In actuality it is more about marriage and family heightened by the setting of espionage - the main characters try to balance falling for each other vs. the mission vs. doing what's best for their wholly American kids vs. trying to connect with those kids that have no clue about the country their parents left behind...may sound silly but is phenomenal. Graphic content at times so not for the faint of heart or youngins but my is favorite currently airing show.

2. Friday Night Lights (not the movie) - now off the air, a beautiful show about a small Texas town and its people - revolves around the high school football team but not really about football at all. The relationship shown between Coach and Mrs. Taylor is probably the most realistic depiction of a healthy marriage that has ever been seen on US TV. They are also two people whose career I will follow everywhere.

Thanks for letting me ramble on - I'd love to hear what you all have to share 😊

Pavan, you are so right. I wish another show would do justice to their chemistry together... (Unless it is on Sony in which case I will not watch)

Would love to see them together but not on sony the way sony have treated IKNMP is a disgrace any other channel would have given it a chance to recover

I am just too heartbroken for anything 💔

Shabz,
Thanks a lot for this beautiful update. Beautiful, yet sad
😭

Please don't make my Ragini cry so much. And live so lonely and broken. Without her Nachiket.

But Rachna cheer up na... There are so many shows out there that do right by their characters and fans... And for this show you all have understood the potential and the beauty so much better than the actual creators.
FF Nachiket has replaced TV Nachiket in my head a long time ago. And despite whatever ending we may get I will imagine one of your endings playing out instead.

My recommendations:
The Newsroom (LOVE the angst between the leads Will and Mckenzie)
Fresh Off The Boat (charming retro-comedy about an immigrant family in the US)
Modern Family (Just.LOVE.)
