No ways SP though started with the theme of a dark girl not getting married, but soon the lady got married & after that there was hardly any colour bias in the show. Moreover its not possible Star will copy a show from another channel.

That is a really mean and discriminatory thing to say. 😳 The only possible way it could be similar to Saat Phere is that both Saloni and the second leading lady in this show are dark-skinned. If thats the reason as to why you belive that this show doesn't "deserve" to be aired then I dare you to answer this questions:

Why can't all the other shows that have fair-skinned leading ladies be cancelled? EVERY single one of them, because of course there were serials before them with fair-skinned leads. If you look at that then it means all the serials with fair-skinned leads, Kasamh Se, KGGK, KZK, Kumkum, Kayamath, Kwaish, Maayka, GKLB, WHY can't they be cancelled?

Why can't all saas-bahu shows be cancelled bc of the saas-bahu story that we've already seen like Teen Bahuraniyan and Maayka and KSBKBT???

I don't even plan on watching this show, but I just want to say all this because if you think so narrow-mindedly as you do, then many of Indian television's great shows would cease to exist for the sole reason being that they just seem to remind you of another show, even if the show you are talking about has just started and unless you got some contacts tell you the story that will unfold, I don't think you should be so quick to jump to conclusions.

I disagree, I watch Saat Phere and its actually completely different from this show.

1. In SP the lead is dark-skinned whereas in Bidaai the lead is fair-skinned.

2. In SP the lead had to face hardships because of her complexion, and here the fair-skinned lead has to face hardships because of her fair skin.

3. In SP the dark-skinned girl had to face problems right from her parents to society, and she had to fight through them all. Whereas here, the fair-skinned girl is only looked down upon by her mami.

4. The concept/story of SP is completely different and the concept of Bidaai is taken from Vivaah.

The show has just started, and it wud be best if we give it a chance to develop before we judge it and jump to conclusions. The 1st episode was pretty good and I'm sure it will only get better 😊

Exactly, its an extended version of Vivaah.. while watching the movie I actually did think that the story had a lot of potential to go further and wud do well if it was made into a soap. Since it is a movie, it had to be cut short, but as a soap, it can go farther.
