'We were poking fun at Mika and not Rakhi'

Rajiev Dinkar, Karan and Kavita's choreographer, explains that he just wanted to show the fun element and never wanted to hurt Rakhi with the last performance. Rajiev had choreographed Kavita and Karan's ched-chaad performance based on the Mika and Rakhi incident. But his choice didn't go down well with Rakhi.

Rajiev says that he has been misunderstood. He wasn't making fun of Rakhi. "Rakhi is a good friend of mine. I have worked with her. She met me out side and immediately I told her that it was just for fun. She said that you have made that incident live again. If you look at the concept we showed that Rakhi ties a rakhi to Mika and he says bhai maine pappi kyun le. So we wanted to poke fun at Mika and not at Rakhi. In fact we wanted to make her happy," he explains.

Rajiev says that he hopes Rakhi is not angry with him. "She told me that you should not have done this. I do not know whether she is happy or not. She was behaving normally with us. After that I am going to meet her today so let us see how she behaves with us."

"I had three concepts in my mind. But Karan was keen on this one. In fact media ko bulao line was added by Kavita. We told everyone that we do not want to hurt anyone before our performance. But after the performance Kavita said sorry to Rakhi if they had hurt her. We thought that this will work out good but I do not know whether it has worked out in a good way or bad way," he adds.

Jodi No 6 Karan and Kavita scored 21 marks for their performance on Friday.

Why can't they just leave her alone !!!! That incident is now history !! Give her a break !!

Let her come out of the Mika & Kashmeera controversies and perform her best at NB3 ! (which she is very good at)

Though I hate seeing the "I am innocent" act she tries to put up which is sooooooo artificial -- this is NO way to treat your fellow contestant !! 🤢
Felt very bad when I saw Karan and Kavita's performance... That was personal attack - And she has all the right to be angry... 😡

they could have avoided it....... 😡 😡 😡

Saying we dont wanna hurt you before hurting you - how innocent they are Its a pathetic concept and all three are to share the blame - choreo for thinking of it, Karan Kavita for insisiting on it and then Kavita adds her own line about media to it... Anyhow, I guess it will show in their voting this week, lets leave it to the viewers to decide...

Yeah seriously! Who in their right minds think "ohh...nah...I don't think we'll upset her...it'll make her happy by us poking fun at her.."?????? 😕 Let it go...it's over and done with! Sheesh!

It is clearly mentioned in the article that they were poking a fun at Mika and not Rakhi. I feel Rakhi shouldn't be upset..if they poke fun at Mika. Rakhi already mentioned that she didn't have any problem with Karan-Kavitha during that show..but she will surely see the choreographer after the show...anyway, maybe the choreographer had explained it to Rakhi and its upto the audience now to decide whether just because of this cause...Karan-Kavitha should be eliminated from the competition.

With their 'media ko bulao' shtick, they definitely made fun of Rakhi. They tried to cash in on Rakhi's controversy. I hope they get eliminated next.

Yes I agree, the media thing was a clear dig at Rakhi... Also, they are just trying to cover up by saying they were making fun of Mika... Firstly, how are they justified in making fun of Mika in the first place - if its Mika, does that mean they can make fun of him😕 Second, when it is such an issue where the incident involves such a thing like a forced kiss n all, whenever you bring such an issue up, it will always be more embarrasing and demeaning for a girl who is involved rather than the guy - even if you say we are refering to him...

the choreo is jus tryin to make up stuff now .. cuz he doesnt wanna admit that it is a mean thing that he tried .. he mentioned kavita wanted to add the media thing and karan insisted on doing the act .. i think it is the choreoz karanz n kavitaz fault .. equally .. wat else is rakhi supposed to say to kavita .. or the choreo .. they r grown up enuff they shud be sensible enuff to kno wat is rite n wat is wrong .. i jus hate that kavita chick so much now her way of talkin is very meannnnnnnnnnnnnn .. and the way she said media ko bulao media ko bulao felt like slapping her across the face .. if sumone even tried makin fun of her shed eat the person raw
