Kushiya had a go at her when she first cooked in the kitchen, her choice of words and actions were innapropriate.

We said that Kushiya could have said it nicely and taught her.

And in yesterday's episode when Riya was cooking with her and wanted to learn, Kushiya didn't want her too and told Preetia to do instead.

I felt sorry for Riya, you could see her deflated. It was like I give up. Riya can't win with anyone in that home.

This was the perfect opportunity for Riya to get on the good side of Kushiya and learn how to make food they way the family likes it.

Kushiya was actually telling Riya how the family like their food cooked.

If this Riya had thrown a strop or walked off when Preeti was told to cook then, the entire family would have taken Riya to the gallows, especially Shivam and Nimmi.

As I always believe that its always good for the newly bride to be taught how to cook in the marridge home.

Anyway Riya can't win either way and I am not sure what Riya can do to fit in this family, not sure if Riya will be able to fight against Shanti as Kushiya will not let her.

If Khusiya would stop allowing her brains to be scrambled she would probably be able to speak to her like a fellow human being instead of how Shanti speaks to her. She just keeps insulting her and then "Beta" afterwards, like that softens it- it doesn't... (The woman knows the difference between rude and polite- she clearly told Nimmi that Shanti might be rude and insensitive but she loves her grandchildren (eyeroll) so its not like the woman doesnt know the difference.)

And in yesterday's episode when Riya was cooking with her and wanted to learn, Kushiya didn't want her too and told Preetia to do instead.

I know, its not as if Preeti even knew what to do because Khusiya told her briefly to add the red chillies etc. As if Riya is incapable of taking a simple instruction! She's already cooked for the family, so what the hell was that about? B*tchy.

She should go the complete opposite now and make herself out to be utterly imbecilic, "Oh I don't know how to hold a knife...is this how??" as she holds it at the sharp end. They obviously think shes totally useless because she cant seem to learn at the speed of light.

Im pretty sure shes sad all this to Riya before- she keeps repeating herself turning it into a gibe more than anything. And even when the girl wants to learn its not good enough. Tyrant much?

Its going to be a looong way off until we see any action taken against Shanti by Riya. Got a sinking feeling that we're going to see this girl chewed up and spat out before any real change happens.

Finally watched last week epi yesterday and was surprised to see kushiya's behaviour with Riya

Is Kushiya doing this on Shanti's talk or is she doing this based on her secret desire to rule the kitchen. I think the latter. Coz I think this is the only place in the entire house where she is in power and rules . Think about it. She has not taught her daughters to cook at all other than making salad. Coz she is constantly telling them how to make daal and sabji. How on earth does she expect Riya to know then.

Like Coolbeans saying putting a beta at the end of each sentence does not make it look good.

She should appreciate that Riya wants to learn. She herself said that when she got married and came to that house she knew nothing and Shanti taught her everything. Why does she think otherwise from Riya??. On one hand she says that she will teach her all and when she wants to learn, she put her down.

Every household cooks differently, I get it but her assumption that Riya should know what Shanti likes makes no sense.

BTW how long has it been that Riya is in that household.

Cooking has become simple with new gadgets and online cooking lessons.

But the family wants food cooked in a special way.

Riya will learn atleast to please Shivam.

Having a mother helps. Or even a mother figure will do.

I follow my mother's recipes and tips and it never fails me.

Here Kushia should show some compassion and help Riya.

For Colors serials, you tube is very good.

Honestly, I feel like CVs mess up the direction of Kushiya's character there. Like sure, making her into Shanti part2 whenever she's influenced by Shanti/ near Shanti and dealing with Riya makes sense. But like being like that even when Shanti is not around is just so blah. Puts her in such a bad light.

Totally agree, they could have had Kushiya, taking Riya to the side after every outburst to give her indirect hints that she is not bad at all.

There should have been a balance in her character, she was so nice at first.

If Kushia is that smart, she would have been running the home by now.

The show is running because of fools and scoundrels.
