Realization 1:

Azad - Mahira does not love Amaad

Mahira - She still sees in Azad's eyes, the love for her. That he still continues to be there when she's in trouble. Her connection with Azad will be totally nullified

Hope in the realization: Azad thought that perhaps Mahira fell in love with Amaad and wanted to marry him. That totally broke him. When he realized that Mahira does not love Amaad, it was enough for him. He regained his confidence in himself, he's gone back to his protection mode. He didn't need Mahira to be in love with him though he's craving for her love... he felt his love was enough.

Azad: Itna toh saaf hai ki woh (Mahira) Amaad se pyaar nahi karti.

Despair in the realization: Mahira realised that once she gets married to Amaad, even that thin thread (at least that's what she thinks) that connects her to Azad will be broken. Her despair that she will totally loose Azad.

Mahira: Thodi dher me meri nikaah ho jayega... Amaad ke saath. Phir Azad aur mere beech me koi rishta nahi bachega. (I loved the fact that she stopped referring to Azad as "Azad sir")

Azad - back to saviour mode... "Mujhe is nikaah ko rohkna hi hoga"

Mahira - back to looking at Azad as her saviour..."Mujhe isme se ??? (couldn't figure this word out) nikhalo. Mujhe is nikaah nahi karna".

Realization 2:

It was meant to be --> Azad realised that there was a sign from God himself that he was meant for Mahira and Mahira was meant for him.

KB: Tumhe andaaza hai tumhe kya kiya? Tune uss dupatta ko choo liya hai, jisko choone ka haq sirf aur sirf Mahira ke hone wale shauhar ko tha. Sab galat ho gaya hai

And Azad didn't think so... He realized it was right and oh sooo right. He realized he was God's chosen one for Mahira

Azad: Allah galat kabi nahi hone deta. Shayad kismet ka yeh ishaara hai ki yeh dupatta mere haath mei hai aur Allah ke yehi marzi mai Mahira se nikaah karna chahata hoon. (I loved this last line)

I loved it that he said it with determination and conviction. His fear that he will hurt Mahira is overridden with his love for her, his need to protect her.

Just some thoughts...

Loving the serials...

I know we are going in for some severe confusion ahead 😆

That's a lovely thought process of Azaad and Maahira you have given. The how and why Azaad arrived to nikaah decision - wish CVs had given some thought to it.

I was mighty pissed at Azaad yday. But after reading this, his agreeing to nikaah makes part sense, not whole though. He still should've at least spoken to her, wanting to marry her to save her is quite noble.

He could also have exposed his brother and stopped the nikaah? or at least discuss with his parents, how amaad had molested her.

Everyone is making decision for Maahira, some by blackmail, some for protection, some for revenge.

Was there a monologue by Maahira as below, or did I miss this one?

Couple of reasons:

[1] Azad did not feel worthy of Mahira or worthy of any happiness. He thought of himself as the lowes

The second point especially got him totally down.t of souls

[2] When Mahira accepted Amaad's proposal, he thought that Mahira loved him.

I do feel sorry for Mahira...

I feel that Azad is marrying Mahira out of love more than to protect. He does not know it himself. He so wants to make Mahira his and he be hers for life and beyond but he still feels he's not worthy of her. That's why the doubt again...it's doubt about himself.

Just after Azad thought to himself that he needs to stop the marriage, Mahira cried for help...

The monologues are more in this seasona nd I am just loving them..I always talk to myself when I am in dilemma or even casually...It really helps u and gives u a clear picture...And here in d show it gives a clear picture on d characterization...As gita said I too wanted Azaad to just stop d Nikaah or else I thought Mahira could have created a scene with Amaad's behaviour...Strange she didnt say anything abt it to anyone...May be she is determined and fixed in mind hat she has to go through this at ant cost given d fact that her siblings are in danger...Her grief was clearly shown...I just hope all d spoilers go wrog and we will get a full fledged AzMa Nikaah...I know I am fool to expect this, but still we will see how it plays out!!!
