it's not swara's fault for bengali attire. ragini arranged this marriage and may be she don't know the exact bengali ritual. all guests were marwadi except swrara. i guess they just wanted to show these guests that our bahu is bangali by dressing up swara in some bengali attire.

nice post TM...yeah sure the wedding was anything but Bengali...except as you mentioned the tiara and the face paint...😆

Regarding the mangalsutra, in most of the inter-cultural marriages, they do try to incorporate both sides ritual...so the wedding with its pheras and kanyadaan is done as per the brides family way, but the sindoor daan is always to the guys side..so I did not find anything wrong with the mangal sutra thing except ofcourse that the bride was wearing it during pheras...bloopers galore..😆

one more thing,...what happened to the groom's bengali headgear...I definitely saw ragini carrying the "topor", i.e the groom's headgear as called in Bengali, the previous day...

True there were many bloopers in the epi...but then wit Daily Soaps one are used to them...

As for the wedding being not completely Bengali...not surprised ...just as Kulsum said...the Bengali style saree...head gear...face paint was to signify that she is a Bengali...

The mangalsutra in her neck from before ...she was married nah thus...😆😆

No the other thing is in us Gujratri/marwari...weddings we get shagun from hubby's side with a mangalsutra and ring to wear with the wedding dress...and then after ritual the hubby puts on the other Mangalsutra/ring that remain for ever and the one that comes with the shagun thali is taken off after 45 days of marriage...

Then only shoot the initial episode in kolkata. namish said it in twitter. now they are shooting in Mumbai. Helly may not aware much about bengali style. I understand it when you say. may the production house said to helly that it is bengali outfit and she believes it. Thats all
