There was nothing in the Terrace as Arnavji had told her about. She scanned everywhere and then faced him again.

Khushi: Yahan toh kuch nahi hai ( There is nothing here)

Arnav: There is Khushi. I can see.

Khushi: You can see? Why cant I ?

Arnav: How can you see Yourself?

Khushi was getting confused and also a bit nervous on what he wanted to tell her. Arnav came to her and very slowly touched her face. She shivered closing her eyes for some seconds. He was observing her very closely.

Arnav: I said there is something special on the Terrace, thats you Khushi. The most special person in my life.

Khushi was unable to believe what he said. He stroked her cheeks with his fingers gently.

Arnav: You have done everything for me which I had hardly expected out of anyone. This marriage may have started with a fixed expiry date, but I dont think I can ever let that happen. These 6 months you have changed the meaning of true relationship for me Khushi. Right from the time we got married, you have always taken care of everything me or my family needed, you tolerated all the odds that Lavanya kept throwing on you, you saved my life, you fasted for me so that I could get better. The list just goes on. And what I did I give you? Just a title of contracted wife? Now that the end of this contract is nearing, I am realising what I am going to lose. I cant lose you Khushi. I am afraid to let you go from my life. I feel as if I would stop breathing if you go away. I wanted to confess this below the Sky, amidst those stars whom you think are lucky for you. Hence I got you here. I want the whole universe to know that Arnav Singh Raizada has fallen in love with his wife Khushi.

Khushi got a major shock. Did he just say he Loves her? ?She realised he was holding her very close, which felt so good. She wanted to feel him, she always wanted to give him a hug, to weep on his shoulders when she is sad, to share her laugh with him on any funny topic and so much more. But she feared about her position in his life. She always thought he would not like it, but today when he himself had put so much of trust on her and named his feeling towards her as love, she could not wait to touch him. He wanted her ? He wanted this marriage not to end? He thinks she is the special person of his life? She cannot believe this was really happening.

Arnav: I love you Mrs Khushi Singh Raizada. I love you.

He gently pressed his lips on her cheeks. She gasped holding his shirt tight. She was into a different world already. He lingered his lips over her cheeks for some seconds and then pulled back. Her eyes were closed, she was not into this world for sure. When she lost his touch she opened her eyes and looked at his face, which was so close to hers. Suddenly some thoughts clouded her mind. Was this so easy? Was it so simple to stop their marriage from ending?

Khushi: No. We . We cannot end the contract like this.

She immediately pushed him away. Arnav felt hurt but he knew what her concern was and it was better he clarifies everything to her clearly.

Arnav: I know what makes you say that. You dont have to think about those legal formalities we signed for. I had already taken care of it even before you signed those papers.

Khushi was surprised.

Arnav: I had added an extra clause in it which stated that if in the duration of these 6 months, you change you mind and want this marriage to continue then the contract terminates. No matter what my choice is, we will continue this marriage. Forever.

She ws shocked. He had taken care of her requirement so well ? That too before they even knew each other properly.

Arnav: I was insane to even think about such a contract marriage. DI and Lavanya had forced me to take this decision and they were the only two woman who meant a lot in my life. It was only after we got married that I realised they were both so wrong. I along with them had ruined an innocent girl's life which I can never forgive myself for. Its just 2 days remaining for the contract to get over. And now I dont give a damm to it. Di and Lavanya will have to understand we both are not some play toys anymore. We have a heart Khushi. We have feelings for each other. We cannot let anyone play with our hearts like this.

He had feelings for her? Ohh. She was so much waiting to know what he felt for her always in these 6 months and today when that time came, she just had tears in her eyes and nothing else. He held her again but she had so many things going in her mind right now that accepting his love never seemed easy for her.

Khushi : No. I cant do this.

Arnav felt a prick in his heart.

Arnav: Dont you feel the same for me ?

That was so hard to reply. She ignored to meet his eyes.

Khushi: This is wrong Arnavji.

Arnav tightly clutched her arms and made her forcefully look in his eyes.

Arnav: Whats wrong? A husband wanting to save his marriage is wrong? Then what is right Khushi? A wife who has feelings for her husband and yet is denying to confess that?

Khushi: These feelings I have for you is natural Arnavji. I have never loved anyone in my life. I never had a man in my life other than my father. But what you are feeling for me isnt right at all. You have a girl friend. You did all this for Lavanyaji and now you are ditching her only because you have started having more feelings for your wife?

Whatever she said was right. But he had his own version of explaining himself.

Arnav: Yes I loved Lavanya. She and I were together almost for a long time. I was responsible for everything she expected from life. She is the sole reason I had to marry someone else instead of her in the first place. It was only after I married you that I started seeing her real face Khushi. Her selfishness, her bad motives of hurting you, her ignorance towards our relationship, her useless tantrums, I was blind to all this until you entered my life.

Khushi: Thats because you started comparing me and her. Two womans cannot be compared on the basis of their personalities, culture or attitude Arnavji. She is not at fault. She just wanted to secure her future. She believed in some orthodox thing which the Pandit told her and Di. She didnt wanted to lose you thats why she agreed to go with it. That is why she forced you to marry someone else in the first place so that when she marries you later, you both will be inseperable. And whatever she did with me after we got married was genuine. She was insecured seeing us together. Every woman feels jealous seeing her man with someone else. Thats what happened with her too. That doesnt mean you consider her fully wrong and think of leaving her?

Arnav was highly irritated with this explanation because he had answers to her explanation.

Arnav: What kind of woman choses what to believe and what not to based on circumstances? She could agree not to marry me in the first place because the Pandit said so .But when that same Pandit told her to observe a fast for me when I had met that accident, she didnt believe? Why?

Khushi became silent. He had a point.

Arnav: I agree she was jealous seeing us together all the time, but does that give her a right to almost try killing you? Which decent woman would think of doing that?

Again, he had a point.

Arnav: Every step of our marriage in the past 6 months she has just spread venom in your life. Which cultured woman will do that?

Khushi had no reply.

Arnav: She almost told Nani the truth of our contract marriage even after knowing Nani isnt keeping well. Her heart is weak. Which woman would do that Khushi? Can you justify all this?

Khushi : I cant justify. But I still cant cheat her Arnavji. I cant let you cheat her.

Arnav fisted his fingers.

Arnav: Theek hai. Lets not cheat anyone of us then. You want to continue this marriage ending, then do it. Leave me and my family.Break my heart, my Nani's heart ,and go back to your father, I wont stop you. But remember one thing Khushi, I am not returning to Lavanya either. I have had enough of confusion in my mind already . Now when I have chose the right, I can wrong myself further.

Khushi was touched with his words.

Khushi: Its too late for you to set things right Arnavji. No matter I stay or leave, no matter you return to Lavanyaji again or not, we still cant be together ever.

Arnav was trying to understand why she was saying something like that. Tears rolled down her eyes as she tried to speak further.

Khushi: I have hid a fact from you Arnavji. I wanted to tell you this much earlier but I did not want to create any more rifts between you and Lavanyaji. So I remained silent all these months. But now its important for you to know.

Arnav: To know what?

He didn't understand why she was crying.? Was that matter really so worse? What worst can it be than the fact that she was accepting to stay back with him and continue this marriage ?

Khushi: On the day of our marriage, Lavanyaji had come to room and. and she made me. she made me sign the papers.

Arnav: Papers? Which papers?

Khushi was unable to say it further.

Arnav clutched her arms tight and shook her.

Arnav: Which papers you signed Khushi?

Khushi: Our Divorce papers.

What the hell . Arnav felt like being hit by a storm . Lavanya made Divorce papers? That too before he even got married to Khushi? Was she so insecured ? Or was she trying to secure her future with him? Even though he understood what her feelings might have been during that time, but one thing he can never agree. She kept it a secret from him. And the worst part in all this was . His innocent wife Khushi has already signed them.
