I failed my first terminals in high school and was pretty much broken all the way. I considered myself disgrace and was in a void. If it had not been for my high school friends who sat by me the entire day offering every means of support I needed, I wouldn't have made through the day. That's when I realized High school friends are friends for life. When did you realize the same?

To keep you in restraint, teachers did very much strive
but you payed no heed, for having fun was your sole drive.

High school is where we decide who we'd be. It's the place where we make dreams and share them

You bunked classes, made the teachers life miserable. Detention never turned you off, because you'd prefer Everybody loves Raymond to Vector Algebra.

The last minute exam prep, blaming yourself for not being regular with the study stuff. You'd try to fake fever, with onions of course, but your parents knew you well enough, you barely survived the paper and like *every other time* resolved to study *regularly*.

As much as you'd like to graduate, you'd miss your friends.
Farewell was pain, and the grief of missing them never ends.

Teasing your friends, stealing a glance.
Proposals, break ups and the fans.
After a few of those stuff, you mumbled to yourself,
Maybe, high school wasn't as dull as I thought.

In the 11th hour, after all you decide to give your assignment some care.
You rush it, as expected, but fail to please.
All alone, your teachers rebukes you have to bear.

May it be hangman, bingo or connect four
Every irksome class made you invent games and much more.

Playing pranks and being played on,
Gifted you memories you now own.
You'd cherish them for life as long as you are to breathe.

The first dance, your insecure parents.
Nothing mattered, once you boarded the dance floor.
To be or not to be, the prom king or queen,
mattered less than those selfies and skipping out
In the between the drum-beats, unnoticed, of course!

Those walls enameled with eraser marks
The windows, scribbled desks and the old black board.
Do not be duped by the typicality of those sights
Because one fine day, when you'd see 'em no more
They'll matter more than you could ever care.

High school is no fun without bitching around {harmless bitching around I assure} and being bitched on, unless you were an angel of course.
Not just girls, but also boys were part of this custom.
Who bitched better than the rest?
Only the walls could tell!

Lectures bored you, so did integral calculus.
Not to mention VSEPR and Thermodynamics.
Unless you were a nerd of course, you'd preferred solace
In your interrupted catnaps.

You couldn't let a chance to escape class go by unattended. That's why most of, you or us, joined clubs.
Taking part in art or sports was definitely worth than the classroom trumps.

Freshers day made you adamant to settle those scores with seniors,
and they made it a point to assert their dominance.
Those fights made you unite as juniors, and finally
when it was *their farewell* you were happy more than sad.
Because you'd get to be seniors after all.

High school is where independence began. High school is the period when you started making your decisions and owning them.

Who doesn't cheat?
Cheating or helping to cheat was not so uncommon.
It was fun, undeniably, and thrilling undoubtedly.
Your excuse was a friend in need was a friend indeed.

Juniors or seniors didn't actually matter.
When the concern was bot the pride of your school.
Win or loose you'd always be together.
We're a family, and you'd cry, this is the spirit of our school.

The time for sharing, eating and digesting memories.
Definitely the most pleasurable and our favorite reason for going to school.
