Aditya Narayan says that his fan following seems to be only females!


His flaring red T-shirt, diamond studs and the little ponytail turn heads around. Obviously, the little boy has grown, and how! From being just Udit Narayan's son, 20-year-old Aditya Narayan has become the popular host of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. So, did the sudden success come as a surprise? "I'd never thought about anchoring. But once I did decide to go ahead with it, I put in a lot of hard work to get it right. So yes, I expected a few good things," replies Aditya, who'd just returned from London after completing his diploma in English contemporary music, when he was offered to host the show.

Besides gaining acceptance as an anchor, Aditya has also earned praise for his dancing skills. Doesn't all this add up to make Bollywood a tempting offer? "Obviously," he exclaims. "I'm working very hard on myself. I work out at the gym and do riyaaz. Although music is my first love, I want to do everything that I can do," says Aditya, who played the child artiste in Salman Khan starrer Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai.

Recently, there were rumours of his 'friendship' with contestant Mauli Dave, which the two denied vehemently. But, Aditya does seem to have quite a female fan following. "Quite?" he asks us accusingly, and adds, "I seem to have only female fans, I think girls like my chikna looks. But frankly, I find it very flattering when people recognise me and take my autograph."

With Aditya anchoring a music competition and his father judging another, what does his mother watch? "Dad's show from nine to ten in the night and mine thereafter. We all watch each other's programme. Dad really likes the contestants of my show," he answers with a cheeky grin. On his future, he reveals, "I want to launch an album first. I'm not completely ready for playback singing yet."
