C H A P T E R 1

She wrapped her arms around herself as she walked further on the secluded roads of delhi, the climate has swiftly changed, it was windy & cold. After 15 minutes of walking, she reached her house which was once a lively place but now there is nothing but dead silence. She unlocked the door and entered inside the room, a sigh escaped from her lips, her brother wasn't there to welcome her, he is not there to welcome her with a bright smile and coffee, he is not there to pamper her. A lone tear escaped her eyes as she walked upstairs, everything in this house screams loneliness which she feel in absence of her brother.

"I miss you, bhai. Why you left me?" Taani whispered in painful broken voice. The incident that happened 4 years back in college took her everything away from her. Rey left the city with sharon and after some days, she lost her brother in car accident. After the news that sharon has left, he drowned himself in alcohol and lost his life while driving in drunken state, and since then she is alone, living in memories of her love ones. She gulped down the lump formed in her throat and wiped her tears away, these past 4 years have been nothing but painful. Loneliness has engulf her, whole day she is surrounded by so many people but still she feels lonely. She brushed her thoughts aside, opening the zip of her bag she took out the food packet which she had got from the cafe she own. She ate her food and slept, hoping someday he would come and this loneliness will go away.

"Bhai, atleast have your dinner." Sharon entered the study room while glaring at her brother who had completely engrossed himself in his files. Ever since they had left delhi, she had noticed her brother had changed, drastically. He had changed himself into a workaholic person from a carefree hot college dude, and she doesn't know what had led him to this. May be samrat's betrayal? Sharon thought. Sharon narrowed her eyes when she didnt got any reply from him.

"Sharon, please, dont disturb me, I have to finish this work soon, I have flight to catch in the morning." Rey told her, not looking up at her once, his gaze was fixed on the file in his hand.

"Flight? Where are you going, bhai?"

"Delhi! I wasnt suppose to but i have to go. I need to go there and look into some property matters." Rey answered her, knowing his sister he knew she is displeased by the news. She would never want him to return back india. The betrayal she had got in past had broken her beyond repair. Only he knew how he had brought his sister back when she went into depression. That was a heart wrenching sight to see for a brother.

"Alright but promise me that you will come back as soon as your work is done. I dont want you to stay there any longer than that." Sharon held her hand out before him. Rey nodded and promised her. Sharon smiled brightly and hugged her brother tightly who reciprocate the hug.

Her eyes fluttered open as sun rays made their way inside the room through window pane.

"Krishnaji, Its my birthday today, I know you cant give me samrat bhai back but atleast you can try, and bring Rey back into my life. You know that how much i miss him, dont you?" Taani was looking at her ceiling and speaking to her krishnaji. The pain and loneliness she was suffering was visible in her eyes. She closed her eyes, and stay still for a while before she opened her eyes and went to freshen up.

"Happy Birthday, Chotii" Samrat's loud excitement filled voice filled the house. Taani giggled as her brother lifted her and twirl her around.

"Thank you, Bhai." Taani hugged her brother once he made her stand on her feet. She looked behind and saw her friends there along with Rey, smiling at him. One by one all came and wished her.

"Lets cut the cake, Choti." Samrat said to her, Taani nodded excitedly. She was super happy today, her brother had arranged a surprise party for her and its her first birthday with her love, Rey. After they cut the cake, she fed her brother then Rey and sharon. Later all got busy in themselves, dancing around. Sharon pulled samrat aside and they went away to spend some time together. While taking it as a chance, Rey pulled taani inside her room and locked the door.

"Happy Birthday, Princess." Rey whispered in her ear, his breath fanning over her neck, she shivered and clutched his arm tightly in her grip.

"Rey, Where is my gift?" Taani asked him, Rey lifted his eyes and stare at her with sorry face. Her jaw dropped thinking he forgot to bring her gift. Rey smirked seeing her expression. He took out a box from his pocket and opening it, he pulled out a chain that had a heart shape diamond pendent.

"Turn around." Rey whispered in her ear, his voice was huskily seductive, sending shiver down her spine. Her brows knitted in confusion but she did as she was told to. She stand with her back facing him. Her heart skipped a beat when she felt some cold material against her skin. She looked down, a smile formed up her face when she saw the pendent.

"You know, this will always connect you to me, Princess." Rey whispered as he made her wear the chain. He placed a peck on her skin below her ear lobe and made her turn around. He leaned and kissed her forehead.

"Thank you, Rey." Taani mumbled, hugging him tightly. Rey smiled at his cute love and pulled her more into him. Leaning forward, he bridge the gap between their lips, and pulled her into a soft passionate kiss..

"Why you left me, Rey? what was my fault?" Taani questioned herself, coming out of the beautiful memories of past. She wiped the tears, and rushed inside the washroom of her cafe, leaving the staff stunned who came to wish her on this special occasion of her birthday.

Opening the water tap, she splashed water on her face, tears were endlessly falling down her cheeks, she hate herself for loving him, she hate herself for still waiting for him. One side, she hates him for leaving her like that but her heart always betray her, her heart want nothing but him.

"Taani, baby, are you alright?" She composed herself when she heard her employee cum friend, Neha's voice. Neha came inside and threw a concern filled look at her.

"Yes, Neha, I'm alright, thanks." Taani whispered, she wiped her face and look at her with a small smile.

"If you want to talk, you know where I'll be.."

"I know." Taani mumbled, smiling at her softly. Neha nodded and walked out of the washroom.

"Please, Krishnaji! Give me some strength to face my life ahead." Taani prayed to her god and come out of the washroom, she asked forgiveness from the staff which is like a family to her. They all smile at her then made her cut the cake which brought a small yet real smile on her face, after years.

superb update

feeling so bad for Taani

everyone is selfish

no one think about poor soul who was hurting without any mistake

flashback part was cute but i was so emotional that i didnt enjoyed it as much i want to

eager to read next part

update it asap

in all this no one think about Taani

how will she live her life

Rey leave India with Sharon

and Samrat dronwed himself into alcohol and later deid in accident coz he was depressed

But in all these wat Taani's fault

She wants to hate Rey but couldn't do that also

DOnt know how will Rey mend her broken state

want to see that

Awesome update. Beautifully written. Loved it.

Sanest betrayed Sharon. Rey not Sharon left India next settled in London.

Sanest died in car accident when he was driving drunken state.

Tani is alone now still waiting for Rey.

Rey also changed himself not became workoholic.

Rey is coming to Delhi. Will taarey meet.
