Manik is back...and plenty are celebrating!! Some coz they love Manik and some coz they love MaNan and finally they will see the Happy Ending that all of us fans were denied due to bad handling of the script.

But, a word of caution here...please don't expect too much!! Richa is gone...the lady behind the Manik magic, Nandini spell and MaNan fairy tale is gone. And if reports are to believed, her absence has already marred the show beyond redemption. Actors are executors, they only act out the vision created by the crew behind the camera. They do as they are told...they don't write the story, or the screen play or the dialogues ...they are not the creatives...Period!! The bitter truth...the actors walk away with most of the credit (and I am not denying that they deserve some...never) but the real credit lies with the magicians that weave the spell...the creators, the head of production, the story writer, the director, the camera man...so many brushes that paint a masterpiece!!
In the absence of a competent helmsman or in this case woman, the ship is already floundering!! Nandini is being butchered on a daily basis, logic is sorely missing, the plot is flimsy, and the story (if there is any) only makes sense to the creatives...the audiences are pulling their hair out. The ones who have stayed back are doing so mostly coz they are loyal, and want to support Niti and the other cast members and their hard work...
So..in the current scenario, its debatable how effective bringing back Parth is going to be...don't get me wrong...delighted that he is back...something feels right...pieces falling back in place where they belonged...!! Super excited to see him n eventually MaNan together..finally...phew!!
But BBC and MTV better realize that he is no magician...no actor has a magic wand that he/she can weave and fill in the loop holes of a pathetic story line. If the content is not solid, sensitive and sensible...no actor...be it Sir Marlon Brando or the Big B can save the show!! The bottom line this show needs a good creative team, a solid back bone of authors who made KY2 a classic legend in these modern times!! This show right now is like an orphan in the hands of an experimental set of parents...this gorgeous baby needs TLC...a lot of handling with care and caution and love!! BBC and MTV have already destroyed what they had created with painstaking patience in the past one year...now they desperately need to reconsider certain decisions...and make some new ones that might be controversial...remove some that are not working and bring in the ones that have proven their worth...bringing in Parth is only one step towards damage control...a lot more needs to be done behind the scenes before this show shows even a glimmer of hope. Or Manik too will end up a sacrifice at the altar of bad handling like Nandini...One is already being killed on a daily basis...kindly don't add the other too in the list of martyrs...
The Production and the channel need to realize promptly that unless they make changes off screen...on screen Parth or no Parth...Niti or no Niti...Ayaaz or no Ayaaz...this show will not work!! Kindly don't expect the actors to clean up your mess!! You are lucky to have been granted a second chance after the way Season 1 ended...but the sane viewers now have very limited patience...please don't test it to the limits!! Remember in the end...CONTENT IS KING!!

Damn right dear...Allah only knows what these new cv's will do to MaNan they have pretty much messed everything else up.
Either they change the creatives or end the show on a happy note before more damage is done.

Very sensible post Eve...
I agree and these are my apprehensions as well.

RY was the visionary behind Manan magic. When she left, the Show went downhill in Season 1 itself. The last three weeks of S1 themselves were testimony of the fact.

With RY not on board any more, I doubt whether S2 would be able to create same ripples unless they have good writers and creatives...RY said in one of her recent interviews (not quoted ad verbatim) that her characters are flawed but love story is perfect.. Hence the viewers connected with the story and characters at emotional level.

As of now, even if they have fantastic writers and creatives, it would do no good if they cannot write for youth audience and deliver accordingly.. This is KYY and not some prime time saas bahu saga with dumb MLs and overtly sacrificing and annoyingly righteous FL (something Nandini is being depicted as in recent times unfortunately) which is just not what RY envisaged for her characters...

Before anything else, they would need to redeem all the wrongs that have already happened ... Let's see what would be their course of actions henceforth..

Le's hope it happens... # Fingers Crossed

Fully agree with you Eve. I loved bluejalpari's post in support of Niti in its entirety but for the title. It is always the script which engages the viewer. If it is well executed by the men/women before and behind the camera, it becomes a hit.

Even the best actor cannot rise above the script and carry the show to the shores. Yes, he may get back some of the viewers who left because he wasn't onscreen but even they will be bored if there is no worthwhile story to tell. Method actors like Parth need to feel challenged to give their best.
Hope the CVs are not banking on displaying his recently acquired muscles to carry on the weight of their show. There is only so much a shirtless Manik can do it save the show.

Edited to add:

Having said that I doubt they'll replace the current team. They will have to cut costs to afford their popular actor. My feeling is that they are just biding their time till the contracts with the sponsors ends. I doubt they are in this for the long haul.

You just spoke what i wanted to speak. At the end CONTENT IS THE KING.
Frankly speaking I have no hope from the new Cvs that they will not do more butchering.. They will. they lack vision and it is seen in the past one month.

Getting Richa back would work more in KYY's favour but i don't find it possible now! Parth's returning is just that MaNan will be back but I doubt that we will get Richa's MaNan.

P.S.- Not keeping my hopes high.🥱 As they say, Jitna mile ussi mei khush rehna seekho Is Apt now!

As always Bang on Post EveRani...🤗
content is the KING if they don't build a proper story line to encasht the magic of MaNan then all the efforts will be in vain...

today they actually shown Mukti (accidently???) putting Baby for Sale add on OLX which was 😲 so I highly doubt this Karishma woman to handle the story line with sensitivity

so i m just keeping my expectation at the lowest of low level...😆😆

Preach it Girl!!! you said it. As much as you adore the actors and their performance in the end it is the content that makes it a hit or flop.

Time and again we have watched it happen be it hollywood, bollywood or television. There has to be some logic and as much I want to agree and support I can't seem to get the storyline anymore. I have never been a Manan, Parth or NIti fan. I have been KY2 fan but as much as the the first couple of episode had my hopes up somehow it seem to have gone downhill from there.

The story seem to going around in circle and the dialogue are getting redundant. And could they please stop with the promotion of hair oil, gum or whatever for crying out loud?

Let's hope that some creative juices keep flowing through the CVs head and we get a good storyline because a pretty face can only take things so far...

Evy, I agree content is the king, but an actor is ace to the deck of cards. The same deck includes, director, choreographer, editor, and even small as spot boy play crucial part in making that story come to life. There are some most intriguing stories and characterizations written but if an actor can't play that character to the T and can't connect with the audience, than that story really becomes baseless, and the content is at a loss. To me an actor's role is most important cause it's through them I am able to connect with the story. Just my 2 cents 😉 always a thing experienced is not a thing perceived!

This is exactly how I have been feeling ever since Parth's comeback was announced...will manan ever be the same? After the character butchering that has happened in s2, I'm not very hopeful 😕 The new creatives really need to pull up their socks. Parth's return doesn't mean everything is back to the way it was. Content is definitely key!
