I don't know to be honest because a lot has changed since the 90s era. Audience have become smarter and their way of thinking has changed as well. Some people may have watched certain movies when they were young but if they watch it now they would probably think it's crap.

A lot of films the 80s and 90s era were good although the storylines were recycled and often had the same formula. For example somebody gets framed for a crime they did not commit or the father doesn't want their daughter to marry a guy for some for some unknown reason maybe they are poor or come from a middle class family.

Movies like Phool Aur Kaante, Soldier, Khiladi, Border, Darr (I may be wrong about this movie), Beta, Sajaan, Vijaypath, Suhaag, Dilwale & Judaai wouldn't work in todays times although they were very good films.

The only movies that may work in todays times is Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (Audience like romance and family drama), Zakhm, Maachis, Josh, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Akele Hum Akele Tum and 1942: A Love story.
