Sanjay Dutt biopic starts next year with Ranbir: Hirani

The script of Sanjay Dutt biopic is almost complete - We start shooting for the film with Ranbir Kapoor and others in 2016 says Directed Rajkumar Hirani.

At a recent media interaction, when director Rajkumar Hirani was asked about the status of his next film post PK, Sanjay Dutt Biopic, the director confirmed that the film is not shelved and will go on floor very soon. He said,

"The script for the Sanjay Dutt biopic is almost complete and we will start shooting the film with Ranbir in 2016."

When asked if he is looking to change the cast looking at Ranbir's bad phase in Bollywood recently, he said,

"I don't think Ranbir needs anyone. He is a fantastic actor and we don't need to worry about him."

Sanjay Dutt Biopic is one of the keenly anticipated films as this will be Hirani's first attempt to direct a film outside his comfort zone i.e. socially relevant films with a lot of humor. Sanjay Dutt film is tentatively titled Dutt'
