What is in a name said the greatest writer, dramatist, poet.

But different people react in different ways to names.

For me Nimboli is mouthful and satisfying while Nandini is elegant and polished. It will take time for Nimboli to become elegant and polished.

Further when Jagya gave Anandi a hurried name, it was Nandini and it suited the very pretty Pratyusha to a T.

For me it will always be Jagya than Jagdish.

I wondered what is Ansh, what is Jagan?

Anandi is such a peaceful and laidback name.

Shivam name confuses me with Shiv.

Jagya was ashamed of the name Anandi which is old fashioned so he introduced her as Nandini his cousin
Shiv chose the name Nandini because he loved his wife's name and he wanted his daughter's name to sound similar to his wife's name Anandi.
In the name Nandini there is so much love.
For Anandi and Shiv their unborn children are images of the love they had for each other

Shivam and Nandini are meant to remind Shiv and Anandi.

Nimboli is the bitter neem fruit whom nobody wanted.

Nandini's arrival into this world was eagerly awaited by her father. So it is fitting that she should be called Nandini.

For me she has always been Nandini

Some names sound ethnic. Some sound very stylish. Some sound both.

A rose by any name...😊

The name Nimboli represents what she means to people in Akheraj household
The name Nandini represents what she means to her parents brother and her family which she actually belongs to.

It can't be rose by any other name.

When we chose names for our children those names we want those names to reflect what we feel for our children.

Shiv's choice represents what he wanted for his little princess

Akheraj and family told us what she is to them by calling her a bitter fruit.

Jagya only gave a hurried name to Anandi as Nandini because he did not want to introduce Anandi as his wife to his college friends It was never shown he was ashamed of Anandi name because it is old fashioned and boring Nandini is so cool???Like leaves said it was just a hurried name he gave to her otherwise he always called her Anandi Never said your name is old fashioned boring not cool ? because there is nothing so cool and stylish in Nandini name than Anandi Both name village women have

Perhaps people don't know that in rural north India people actually give bad sounding name to their children in mistaken belief that good sounding name will make people more nazar lagana to the child. There are names like Zahari, Katori bai etc.
Akheraj though gave his children nice names - especially Kundan. Kamli means mad in Punjabi - not sure about Hindi, but perhaps it is derived from Kamal (lotus) or a bud. It is not clear who gave the name Nimboli. Nimboli is actually not sweet - but has medicinal values and good.

Actually Shiv Raj and Sanchi are both old fashioned names. And Mahi seems to be just pet name especially if it is a boy. Compared to that Alok, Anoop, Meenakshi look modern names.

Nandini reminds me of Ash in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. And Ash is a beauty and style icon.
