I'm repelled by the insinuation that there's anything similar to the two tunes. The only similarity is that both pieces are based on the Waltz rhythm, played pizzicato on violins. The melodies are totally different from each other. Just for the record, Vishal & Shekhar are totally committed to creating only original music. Even when we'd just started out, we turned down several large projects where the producer/director insisted that they wanted tunes to be lifted. I would appreciate it if you could clarify this, and print this letter prominently, so your "source" can be assured of our commitment yet again! Tee hee. We're sure he'll get the message, |
