Okay I want to ask, even if we keep nepotism aside, why should Sonam Kapoor continue getting movies? 8 years in the industry, hardly 2 hit films, minimum critical appreciation for her roles, known in the industry because of her fashion than her acting, doesn't click with the general audiences due to her ridiculous statements (though I actually like her for that,no matter how ridiculous they sound), can't even guarantee a decent opening..would someone else in her place,with the same filmography get so many chances to stay in the industry? Would someone else in her place get movies with UTV and Balaji?

How many chances does she need to prove that she can act and mouth dialogues properly?

She is female version of Imran Khan!

Shahid wasnt launched by his father. Although Pankaj Kapoor is a well known TV and film actor he was never a star and didnt push his son or help Shahid to get a foothold in BW. Shahid came up by himself.

Ranbir and Shahid are much more talented than Sonam, who has barely given 2 good performances in last 8 yrs! Can Sonam ever do (female equivalent) roles as complex as Barfi or Haider? I think not...

^^ It is absurd to say that nepotism is never mentioned when it comes to star kids other than the Ikaun .. you do get countless posts illustrating the industry's unfair standards pertaining to nepotism whenever star kids are in the spotlight .. I repeat - nobody is spared & ikaun is definitely "not singled out" or something of that effect .. 😆


I am seriously confused as to what sonam fans are trying to say here .. they seem to be talking about nepotism but it looks like they are confusing "lack of goodwill for the so-dumb ikaun" with "ikaun being singled out for nepotism" .. the two cases are mutually exclusive in the current scenario & the latter case is invalid .. Ranbir & Alia are also called out for nepotism but the difference is - for whatever reasons ( it could be looks, talent , personality, modesty , humble attitude etc etc ) they have the goodwill of the audience unlike Ikaun .. so if sonam fans are arguing about the lack of goodwill for Ikaun - all I can say is - it is completely up to the Ikaun , goodwill is an intangible asset for a reason .. if the Ikaun doesn't have it , it is because she doesn't deserve it ..
