Vinit and Aneek - What’s different??

Recently there was a thread where people discussed about Vinit's and Aneek's future. I don't understand why people are saying that Aneek's future will be like Vineet. I think that's great. What is wrong withVineet's future? He is doing very well. You seriously didn't expect him to be a Kishore Kumar or Sonu Nigam overnight.

Its been about one and half years that C2005 was over. In the mean time Vinit has sung 8 to 10 songs for movies. Did an international concert with his mentor. Seen most parts of the world. Moved to Bombay and bought a new flat and car in Bombay. Keeping quite busy with concerts and stage shows. What more do you all expect from a 19 year old kid. How is his future going badly?

We have seen many many brilliant singers in the past 14-15 years of SRGM/SRGMP who were much superior to Vinit. How many of them have a track record like Vinit except Shreya and Kunal. Technically Parthiv Gohil is a much much better singer than Kunal, but ironically he got his first big break after struggling 10 years in Saawariya. Same with Bela, Sanjeevani, Sneha and many more. Only 1 movie wonder. How many years Sonu and Shaan struggled before coming to fame?

So what is wrong with Vinit's career?

Coming to Aneek and Vinit.

The main difference between Aneek and Vinit is that Aneek is a born singer with proper classical and voice training, but Vinit was a born singer with very little training. This is where Aneek has an upper hand.

Secondly, both of them had kind of an immature voice, but that is fine. We can't expect to have an Ustadi voice from 17 and 18 year old kids. Vinit had a squeaky voice but in these one and half years his voice has changed a lot. That is because he is getting proper training and also getting older. Just hear his "Keshariya Balam" from Nanhe Jaisalmer.

On the other hand Aneek doesn't have to go through the classical training from scratch. The only change he needs is a matured voice, and need to continue his riyaaz. I am sure in two years he will have a much heavier voice. So, that's another upper hand for Aneek.

When it comes to putting the feel and emotions in a song, Aneek beats everyone there.

Now coming to similarities:

1. Both of them have the same super hyper annoying mentor.

2. Both wants to fall in love in the show.😃

3. Both of them are super crappy dancers.

4. Both of them are super tingu.😛

So, what is out there for these singers is boyond our control and predictions. Just like my favorite Himmy Bhaiyya says " Its all in the hands of destiny, and if there is a divine intervention, then they will surely succeed. If not, hard luck buddy.

Not just Aneek and Vinit, but NONE of them are going to get a real break before 5-10 years pass (unless its a freak case like Naresh Iyer).

Will the survive in Bombay? Probably, if they have other recurring income.

What will happen in the future? Don't want to know. I'm not the type who flips back and looks at a novel's ending. 😛

That is very good analysis 👏 👏 You are right on target..Vinit is much ahead of any other kid of his age ....and not behind compared to seniors when they were his age..

Well Tanaz ji (kya baat hain new ID?😉) Aneek has been promised a break in a big budget bengali film which was announced on the show.

Why should everyone look towards only Bombay, why not Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Trivandrum, where better films than Hindi are being made with international acclaim. Why only film music, why not classical music, why not folk music, why not fusion music, why not bhajans, why not sufi music, why not Indipop, why not light music(bhava geete as known in Maharashtra & karnataka, which means albums of songs written by famous poets, which is very popular), why not a form a music band?

Do you know that Hemachandra of C2005 & Karunya of II2 are going great guns in the Telugu film industry apart from offers in Tamil, telugu & hindi as well?

But one thing is to be realised is that all these can happen even with or without SRGMP or II or any other singing circus.

What i think is all these competitiors of TV singing competitions should form a labour union and demand remuneration for showcasing their talents instead of being treated as objects to fetch revenue for the channel & producers on basis of their fan following & popularity, after they are all stage performers, entertainers, who have every right to demand payment just like the actors on the various soaps on the Idiot box.

Yes to Q in bold. But, why do these people still try to get breaks in Bollywood/Indipop?

Even Parthiv Gohil released a few Gujarati albums, but continued to struggle to get a line or alaap in a Hindi film. Why didn't he specialize in Gujarati films or bhajans?

You've listed a variety of other areas people can go into. The question is : why should people go into those areas? Is there sufficient payback/can they get strong sponsors/can they get a recording company to actually make a CD? And if by chance they manage to get a CD recorded, will the marketing be sufficient to get them buyers?

Nice idea about union formation.

I think the answer lies in uniqueness, creative excellence and establishing one's own identity. Unless these people don't come up with new ideas, new creations there will be no takers for them. With a plethora of artists on the horizon who cares if every second song, composition or an album sounds like the earlier one. After all music is a creative art and has lot of room for innovation & improvisation.

very well articulated appa saab.. esp the super tingu part! 😉😊 and yes, i too agree that aneek is better poised than vineet cos of his classical training.. and as far as his voice being unripe is concerned, well i don't know how many here recall sonu's initial years.. his voice too had a peculiar sharpness or shrillness to it which has totally disappeared over the years..

i've always wondered at the comparisions betn aneek and vinit cos i've always found aneek's voice more full-bodied and sweet (honeyed.. 😊) than vinit's which was more shrill or rather thin to my ears.. but vinit's voice too seems to have matured or ripened, so why won't aneek's voice mature in a positive way, given his dedication to music?!

i would be happiest if aneek and poonam were to follow Pt. Jasraj ji's advice and take to classical singing cos that's where they are really needed.. trishanku ji, must say your thread on the topic was very commendable.. 👏👏👏 but i guess the lure of bollywood and the fame that comes with it is a potent mix that can sway anyone off their feet, let alone two eager, ambitious and talented youngsters..

I dont see any comparisions between Amanat and Vinit. They are worlds apart in singing, both are good in theire own way. I must say I see a resemblance in Aneek and Vinit, but Vinit was tooo good.
