Many here in forum are nt insupport with Bharmaal. BT if I see from BM POV, I support him as I really dont find anyother way to save AMER. ITs nt abt his throne or his sons, bt also about the common men of AMer. I know he destroyed RAjpoot Aan Baan Shaan, bt as a king he has really nothing have to do, He is absolutely nt a good father for Jodha bt Its says in KIngship, country comes first dan family, and he did same. I dont like his role on betraying Suja bt evn Suja comes as a weak character when he accept Mughal allience for Amer gaddi. He must think sometime before doing this. Aftrall they r mughal specally Sharif😆. I like to ask reader what will dey do if they r in place of BM at this state? what path will dey choose? please answer.

I think there is a lot of logic in your argument. He saved Amer by marrying his daughter with the Mughal Emperor.

History has shown that Amer benefitted a lot from this alliance. The very fact that the biggest city and capital of Rajasthan is Jaipur, and not some place else is proof of that. In trade and political influence Amer became the top kingdom in Rajputana.

For the people of Amer, there was not only increased opportunity for trade with the pan-India Mughal empire, but there was also safety. Never again would Amer be besieged by anyone or it's women forced to commit Jauhar.

You are right in some ways that he saved amer and its people
What i object is his joining mughal forces and fighting fellow rajpuths later on? After all rajpuths were related to them is it not?
Secondly even when British started dominating amer (jaipur) again sided with them and supported them again
So basically they would go in direction of wind or were fence sitters whoever was strong join them and save themselves
That is why may be people do not truly respect bharamal and co
whoever is in power support and join them - no ideology of their own
People in long term will respect only those that have fixed ideology not fence sitters(if you read history) - like an Maharana Pratap, Hada Rajpuths(who refused matrimonial alliance), chand bibi etc someone who sticks by his ideology all life no matter what the circumstances

Once Bharmal decided on the Mughals, he really had no choice left. He had to support the Mughal Empire in whatever battles it took part in. The Mughals had a simple rule, you were either with them or against them, there was no third option. I don't know of a single kingdom in the vicinity of the Mughal Empire that remained neutral and certainly none in Rajputana. Even Mewar, after the conditional surrender of Rana Amar Singh to Jahangir, had to accept Mughal conditions.

As for the British. We can hardly blame Amer alone, most of the small kingdoms sided with the British. Only a few opposed the British like Tipu Sultan and Mahrana Ranjit Singh. But they were in a much stronger position, financially and strategically. For a small kingdom like Amer, any opposition would have been hopeless.
