Analysis #6

Subject of Analysis: Episode #1

Analysis:

The episode starts off with the "Ik Onkar" prayer. I had mentioned this in my first analysis so I won't go in too much details for it. It is essentially blessing the show in real life and the fictional characters to be on a successful journey.

Leela's voice is a bit off as if it was dubbed. 🤔

The yellow color choice on Twinkle is deliberate. It will again represent her peppy and cheerful personality.

Seeing Twinkle doing seva at the gurdwara is serene. Again, it serves the purpose of showing how religious the family is. Twinkle is not just a jhalli girl. She's a girl who is still learning. She may not be able to understand the gravity or the importance of certain situations at first but she will eventually. If she can grasp the purity behind doing seva, she can come to terms with anything.

Okay, so this is the highlight of the episode.

Twinkle measures the hotness of guys based on chicken dishes. 🤣🤣

Chicken is our country's national bird. 😆

Sunnyji, ek aur rejection... okay this girl has won me over. 😆

The bonding between Twinkle and her mother is absolutely adorable. Their interactions are like of a typical Punjabi household. Referring to Babaji every other second, complaining about the type of children they've gotten, it's all realistic. :)

And here comes the centuries old fight between the Luthra's and Taneja's. 😆

Btw, can I just say how much I love the dialogues. They're not only hilarious but the fact that they're speaking in Punjabi makes it all the better. 🤣

ROFL, the beggars wait for these two to show up so that they can make their earning for the day. 🤣🤣

Twinkle adding fuel to the fire rather than trying to quench it is even more hilarious. 😆

Yuvi's entry was a bit funny. 🤔😆

Okay the way they're all fighting is just hilarious. 🤣

There are way too many personal comments and emoticons than I had expected in this analysis but the first episode was absolutely hilarious.

The fights between Leela and Anita are more much docile. They're all talk and use their money and status to fight and beat each other. Twinkle and Yuvi, however, are presenting their fights in a much more physical manner. First with Twinkle bringing out a weapon, Yuvi grabbing her hand, then both of them pulling each other around; the wounds they're going to leave on each other are going to be visible to everyone. The physical touching can also represent how much more intimate Yuvi and Twinkle are. They are in love with each other - something that their mothers would never have imagined happening.

It is a foreshadowing of sorts as the Twinkle's and Yuvi's actions are going to greatly impact the influential status that their mothers flaunt around to everyone.

All in all, this was a fabulous first episode. It presented the essential characters, the purpose of the show (the mothers' enmity) and how their children are involved. It was light, funny, peppy and full of entertainment.

Just read all your analysis and loved them all.😃👏

What got hooked me on this show...Kunj really..😆From the time he made an entry to the time Twinkle bumped in to him...I was hooked...

Twinkle and Kunj look awesome together and they do share a wonderful chemistry...

All their scenes till now have been awesome...from their first meeting to their cute fights to their being together knowing and unknowingly in the Gurdwara...

The best scene for me up till now...him giving her the hankie to wipe her tears and the one in which Twinkle prays that her life partner the love of her life is there with her praying and then we see..Kunj there...a sign by God that he is her one and she is his...

A truly wonderful scene that...

Thank you so much! 🤗

The great thing is that I came into this show with literally no expectations. That is doing wonders as it keeps presenting more ways for me to fall in love with it.

Whether it's Twinkle's jhalli personality, Anita and Leela's fights, Yuvi's obsession, Kunj's compassion... even Dadaji and Preeto are so adorable!

This show is going to be a complete package and I can't wait to open it!

Thank you so much. 😳

Haha, Kunj is the reason why I started watching it too. 😆

I had initially seen the promos but never sat down to actually watch an episode. One day, my grandpa randomly put it on and they were showing Kunj's entry and I was just... ☺️

The way Twinkle bumped into him was so filmy. 🤣 But it was shot beautifully as well. I just love the way she had her hands around her neck. It was so really well done. 😳

For me their best scene is hands down the one in the gurdwara. That was one moment where they were there for themselves praying to Babaji to help them find their soulmates essentially. Like you said, them being together at that particular moment when Twinkle makes that wish is really symbolic. It is as if Babaji himself is blessing this relationship and that to me is the most beautiful thing in the world.

I cant wait for you to analyse the watch repairing scene..which I think was very symbolic too...her wordings to Babaji after she misses saying Thank You to him...
Then their talk after the pillow fight...about marriage to one who is making her cry and loving someone who is hurting her...

Then can't see you cry or tears in your eyes and giving her a hankie to wipe her tears...

AND

Of course our Favourite scene them praying in The Gurdwara...unknowingly...

kubare - Personally, I can't wait till I reach those scenes myself. While there are comedic and light aspects to TwiNj, they also have a serious and very understanding nature. The various levels of their connection amazes me and their every scene alludes to how compatible they are for each other. If not that, then at least of how much of great friends they could be. Undoubtedly there are many things that Twinkle can learn from Kunj, but it also works in vice-versa. There are quite a few things that Kunj can learn from Twinkle as well.

Chandni - Thank you! 😳

Analysis #7

Subject of Analysis: Episode #2

Analysis:

How much money do these ladies even have? I mean they're throwing it away as if it grows on trees. 😕

Loll, this Kuku Kubatar is actually smart. How is she supposed to bring about world peace by winning a Miss Amritsar competition? 😆

How is that even allowed? Leela can't be a judge if her daughter is a participant. This is an unfair competition.

Maybe it's because I'm not familiar with beauty pageants or fashion shows but there is nothing interesting about this. You-Know-Who's (Yes, I'm sticking with my vow in refusing to take her name still) speech was okay. The part where it concerned her mom was really touching but the rest of it was just... I don't know. It really brings out the childish nature in her. The nursery rhyme, her connection with it and the fact that she chose to speak about a childhood moment that was in close relation to her mom, again speaks a lot about her childlike naivety.

Seeing this side of You-Know-Who is giving me a whiplash. It's literally like I am watching a different girl here. 😳

Loll, what the hell is this girl saying? 😆 It was so obvious she was going to win. 🤔

But this was so bogus. What she said was off-stage and shouldn't have been taken into consideration. Plus, we didn't even get to see Sapna be asked a question. If anything, she is the rightful owner of the title which she should have gotten from the judges, not You-Know-Who. I get they wanted to make her seem like the bigger person and what not, but the way it was executed was so wrong. The fact that Sapna has a disability makes it even more wrong as she has been completely neglected and her handicap was used a device to uplift another wholesome character. It is in a way, a form of discrimination.

Okay, seriously what the hell is up with Yuvraaj speaking into the camera? It is so off putting and is just... wrong. It breaks the credibility of the fictional world that is being set up and confuses the viewers as to who he is talking to. His lines will be so much more powerful if he was actually saying them to someone rather than speaking directly into the lens. We want to see him interact with other characters and build those relationships, not create ones with us.

Compared to the first episode, this was a major let down.

Analysis #8

Subject of Analysis: Episode #3

Analysis:

Zain's Punjabi is quite good. :)

Okay, so we get a glimpse Yuvi's possessiveness. In his obsession for You-Know-Who, he is willing to harm himself and her.

I really feel like I am watching completely different characters. The way Yuvi and You-Know-Who are talking with each other, really makes me wonder why there was a drastic change in their behaviors. 🤔

This accusation of Anita kidnapping You-Know-Who is ironic since in today's episode, we saw the same thing. 😆 Leela running into the house with the police asking for Anita to tell her where her daughter is, Anita saying You-Know-Who ran away and Leela not listening... it's all the same old with different reactions. 🤔

Mental torture is right police wale bhai saab. 🤣

Lo, and behold Chinki is involved with the kidnapping once again. Why am I not surprised. 😳

I'm really amazed that they recycled this bit. I mean, couldn't they have used something new? It's like I'm watching today's episode once again.

What the heck, I never heard of this saying before. 😕

This is such bad editing! They should have shown Anita and Yuvi's conversation in full.

Ishq ka keeda? More like Yuvi ka keeda. 😳

What do you mean by you have to meet him? You can say no, you know that right? 😳

Wait, did Anita not know about Yuvi and You-Know-Who's relationship initially? 😕

Yoo, YuvLe were actually pretty good in the beginning. 😲

OH MY GOSSHHH, seeing these two is making me finally realize why this jhalli is so in love with Yuvi. Like I can actually believe this relationship and would have been completely fine with it if it wasn't the drastic change in their characters.
