General History Book...A question was there who was princess of ujjain who married asoka, the answer was DEVI.

i read a biographi of ashok
In that its clearly mention that devi is merchant daughter.
though inbook who was princess of ujjain not mentioned

Asandhimitra was a princess of the Assandh region.

If Ahankara is portrayed as Asandhimitra it will be historically inaccurate. But this is not exactly a historical show. And not much was known about Asandhimitra to begin with.

Devi was the daughter of an ordinary merchant. Kaurvaki was the daughter of a fisherman.

All their portrayals in the media so far has been inaccurate. The love of Ashok's life was Asandhimitra. She remained his chief consort for a very good reason.

Kaurvaki or Devi just played a role in Ashok's conversion to Buddhism. That is all.
