How were Zoya and Haider related?

Hi everyone.. I was watching S1 and I couldn't understand how Zoya and Haider could be related?

Do they just have the same mum but different fathers? Was Zoya's mom was first married to Haider's dad and then left him to marry Siddiqui? But there is something about the timeline that doesn't make sense... how did Haider and Zoya play with each other as kids?

Zoya and Haider were cousins.

I think Zoya's mom and Haider's dad were sister-brother. Since Zoya was illegitimate, she probably stayed with Zoya mom family, who herself probably stayed with her brother (Haider's dad). That's how they played together in childhood, because they effectively grew up together. Zoya was too young to remember but Haider was old enough.

Zoya's mom was only ever married to Siddique I think. But as the story goes, Razia had her killed, Rashid burned the body and factory, etc.
