Okay, I say this on the basis of few (very subtle) hints.
So, it seems the new entry old man is Maddy's grandpa, about whom it was talked in the initial episodes.
And this man could be the new principal, thinking about whose arrival Nyonika got sweats.
Might be possible he's related to the Malhotras.
And there! Manik and Maddy could be related...may be a closer way..like brothers, but they are unaware of this đ. Why else would the latter be mentioning Manik every now and then!
