Gunjan

Calm and quiet and extremely polite Gunjan loves be in her world of books and studies... She is is such a Hidden Diamond that only needed polish and perfect cut... Samrat became that Jeweller in her life who brought his Chashmish' out of her fear during Talent Parade... And she become one of the best students of Excel for her singing talent and wins the Voice of Tomorrow' contest for her academic knowledge...

Gunjan is a kinda girl who is genuine at heart and wishes for everyone's goodwill... Due to her nature of doing good, Gunjan even broke her friendship with her best friend Samrat coz his girlfriend Sheena was insecure with their close friendship - "Humare friendship tod do Samrat... Sheena tumse bahut pyaar karti hai aur uske khusi ke liye tumhe yeh karna padega"... Everyone in the group loves Gunjan for her sweet and helping nature, which is why Benji considers her as his Only Girl Best Friend' and she is Uday's favourite sister... Even students from other colleges like Purab; who had come to Excel for a competition became her friend within a very short span of time... Her simple, warm and friendly nature had at times made some hot n happening girls like Sheena and Aparajita feels jealous and insecure of her...

She is shy and introvert; but when she speaks, her each and every word hits the right chord... In any situation good; bad or worse, Gunjan always knows the right thing to say and the right thing to do... Even Guru Samrat' listens to her advice every time - "Tum humesha sahi hoti ho Chashmish"... She is Nupur's baby and Mayank's little sister who had times and again helped them sort out their problems... And though the youngest in her family, she is the most mature and sensible among the Bhushan kids...

Gunjan is also very sensitive and doesn't easily forget and forgive... She had distanced herself from Samrat after learning about Samrat's bet on her and even didn't hesitate to stand strong in her place and question Nupur when she had doubted and insulted Samrat for no reason... She is a head strong girl who could speak her heart out about her feelings for Samrat instead of waiting for him to take the initiative or about her dream of Church wedding... And at the end of the day she would only spread love and happiness...

Samrat

Basketball Champ ... The "Cool Dude" of Excel College... He is every girl's perfect Dream Boyfriend... He has this charm that no one can escape... Every girl in his college has a crush over Him... Every boy in the college wants to be the Dude' like Him... But Samrat Shergill has no replica... Everyone wants to be His friend, but Samrat wanted to be his Chashmish's friend... He can be his own self only at her presence...

Coming from a broken family and separated from his mother and sister at the age of ten, Samrat had found his new family among his friends... He enjoys his life with his friends, chilled out most of the time and never let anyone find out the emptiness in his life until Gunjan walks in his life and become his Best Friend - "Ek aisa Dost jo mere saare Doston se bahut zyada Important hai"... Samrat can easily confide in Gunjan about his pain and weakness that no one else knows... He had trusted his best friend Gunjan over his girlfriend Sheena when she framed Gunjan with false accusation - "Sheena, tum meri aur Gunjan ke Friendship ko kabhi samajh nahi sakti"... He had proved that day his Friends were his Family...

Samrat shares a very cordial relationship with Mayank and Nupur too... He helped Mayank realizing his love for Nupur and confessing his feelings and later after their wedding; Samrat let them stay at his outhouse when Mayank and Nupur had no other place to live... He had always protected Diya from Ranvijay and in Season 2 it was Samrat who had realised first the truth about Nupur and re-united her with Mayank and Gunjan... Samrat has always been a very loving and responsible brother to Suhaani and he had helped Adhiraj after he was convinced that he was the right guy for his little sister...

Samrat's love for Gunjan was absolute... Thought it took him a lot of time to realize his actual feelings for Gunjan... But once he realized that he was in love with Best Friend, there was no turning back - "Mujhe apni puri life apni Best Friend ke saath bitani hai, isse achcha aur kya ho sakta hai"... He followed her to Morena to get her back... After the accident everyone had assumed Nupur to be dead and Gunjan held Samrat responsible for her death and left him... But Samrat still believed in his love and waited for Gunjan for 3 years till she had to come back... He had never held any grudge against Gunjan and Mayank and forgave them easily after Nupur's return to their lives...

Nupur

"Morena Express"... That's the name she was given when she entered Excel College... She is bubbly and crazy and sometimes can be a bit over-the-top... In her hometown Nupur was the style-icon and every guy's Dream Girl... However the situation changes when she joins Excel... She tried to be like her cousin Diya, but realized her mistake soon and drops the idea of becoming Excel's Style Icon...

Nupur has only 2 dreams in her life - To become a popular actress and to find her Prince Charming' who would come riding on a White Horse and sweep her off her feet - "Mere sapno ka Rajkumar ek safed ghore pe ayega aur mujhe udake leke jaayega"... She is filmy herself who is madly in love with Shahrukh Khan and filmy gossips from Mayapuri... She is the one who even brought out the Sadu' and boring Mayank Sharma from his library and assignment world into Talent Parade and college drama to be her partner... Something that no one could have imagined, By God'... Her favourite coining that became famous in the college that even Mayank got addicted to it to his surprise... Nupur is someone who can spread only happiness...

But in-spite of being crazy and silly at times, Nupur has always been a protected sister to Gunjan... She treats Gunjan as her baby and would fight anyone who tries to come between them even with her father when he had asked Nupur to stay away from Gunjan- "Gunjan jitni aapke hai utni hi meri bhi... Maa ke jaane ke baad maine usko sab kuch sikhaya hai"... She had been Gunjan's biggest support after Gunjan was heartbroken when Samrat chose Sheen as his girlfriend... Nupur has always been Gunjan's best friend...

Nupur's love story with Mayank as Uday had said to her- "Koi match nahi hai... Kyunki Mayank ek perfectionist hai aur tum galtiyon ka pitara ho"... But still it happened, just like the romantic movies she loves... She fell in love with Mayank, and was on cloud nine when Mayank proposed her and had arranged a completely filmy date for her... Her wedding with Mayank happened in a hasty situation when she was forced to marry Adhiraj and his family call off the marriage after learning Nupur's love affair with Mayank... Nupur was disowned by her father soon after her wedding with Mayank... But she never gave-up and mend her relationship with her family once again which was the best quality in her...

And this nature of protecting her loved ones was the only reason Nupur kept quiet for 3 years when she was taken away by Dhruv and bear all his torture but never gave in... Even Mayank's mother adored Nupur since their first meeting and supported her over Mayank at times... She was the link that had brought the group together and in Season 2 Nupur's return had re-united Samrat, Gunjan and Mayank once again...

Mayank

"The Bookworm" Mayank Sharma is another Hot Dude of Excel College who is popular for his excellence in studies and academic activities and looks as well... He is smart, intelligent and hard-working and always focused in his studies until Nupur entered his life and turned his world upside down... To everyone's surprise, Mayank become Nupur's dancing partner in Talent Parade which marked the beginning of his friendship with Samrat and his groups whom Mayank had till then royally ignored...

Mayank is a kind of guy who values truth, honesty and hard working more than anything else... Hence he felt cheated after learning that Nupur had lied to him about the project... Mayank started to develop a soft corner for Nupur during their stay in Ahmadabad for Inter College Academic Meet, a competition which they win together... His mother being his only family; Mayank shares a very close bond with her...

Mayank's relationship with Samrat had been very competitive at time - "Competition khatam kahan hua?? Abhi toh puri life baaki hai aur humare career bhi... Dekhte hai kaun zyada successful hota hai"... But in other times he was Samrat's best friend and partner in crime when it comes to Morena Sisters... Mayank was also a saviour to his friends... With his sharp thinking and presence of mind; Mayank had helped Samrat come out of Ranvijay's trap and even expose Sheena when she had tried to trap Gunjan... He never backed out from any challenge, be it going to Morena to win over Nupur or marry her on the spot when her family was humiliated by Adhiraj's family for the lies... Mayank had always remained a winner...

Mayank had distanced himself from Samrat during Season 2 after Nupur's death... But once he realized Samrat was never at fault, Mayank rectified his mistakes and helped Samrat mend his relationship with Gunjan... His belief that Nupur was alive even convinced Gunjan and Samrat about the same and compelled Nupur to return to their lives...

Diya

She is the ultimate Diva of Excel College... Cousin to Nupur and Gunjan; who plans all kind of tricks on them to throw them out of Excel but eventually becomes a very good friend and sister to both of them... Diya being the most "Hot n happening" girl of the college dreamt of being in a relationship with the most popular boy of Excel - Samrat... But for Samrat his Candy' was only one of his closest friends...

After Gunjan became Samrat's best friend and Sheena his girlfriend, Diya befriended with Ranvijay - A spoilt brat who had then joined Excel College and belongs from a Royal Family... In-spite of Samrat and Uday's repeated warning; Diya fell in love with Ranvijay who later insulted her in front of the whole college as a part of his revenge plan... It was then Nupur, Gunjan and Uday supported her most; whom she had always considered as belittle - "I'm sorry guys, main aj tum logon ko actually samajh paayi"... It was a turning point in her life and the beginning of her friendship with Nupur, Gunjan and Mayank who used to avoid her earlier for her overrated behaviour...

Diya was upset too when Nupur and Gunjan had left for Morena - "I miss them so much"... She was excited for her Sammy and happily helped him in confessing his love to Gunjan and bringing her back from Morena... Diya later fell in love with Benji and accepted his love proposal in-front of the whole college surprising everyone... In Season 2 she came back as a Fashion Designer and she was the one who claims first that Nupur might be alive and helped Mayank find out about her whereabouts...

Uday

He is the Dodo of the college... Diya's brother and Minion' who is hell scared of her... He listens and does everything Diya says and asks him to do... Uday's one and only Dream is to become popular in the college just like Samrat... He tries repeatedly to become the Dude but fails every time...

Uday gets smacked by Diya every now and then for his stupidity but he is never angry at her... In fact Diya too accepts he is the most adorable brother any girl can get when he comforts her after Ranvijay insulted Diya - "Main aj Diz ke wajah se apne saare sharam bhul ke uske haal-chaal puchne aya hoon"... Gunjan is Uday's favourite sister and he calls Nupur Same Blood Group wali Sister' and he loves all his three sisters immensely...

Uday had always been in love with the idea of Being in Love'... He tried his luck on almost every girl in Excel but fails... He fell in love with CJ when misguided by Benji and had asked her out for a date; something that no other boys in Excel would ever dare... CJ to everyone's surprise had accepted the offer because she knew Uday was really good at heart and later she became his Valentines Ball partner after learning about Diya's bet... He had also fallen in love with Excel's new Professor - Tamanna Mam...

The ever confused and dumb Uday was loved and supported by everyone in the Group in-spite of his foolishness... And still at the end he was alone without a girlfriend and looking for one...

Suhaani

Suhaani is Samrat's sister who comes to Excel College to find her brother and fix her relationship with him which was damaged due to their parents' separation... She had entered in the college at the same time when Adhiraj had come to meet Nupur... Co-incidentally Suhaani had made an entrance in Excel with a fake identity - Nupur... Adhiraj mistaking her as Nupur Bhushan makes it easier for the Group to hide original Nupur from Adhiraj... And she becomes a close friend to all of them and a part of the Group soon after...

Suhaani becomes a close friend to Gunjan after she finds out Suhaani was Samrat's sister and her real reason for joining Excel was to win her brother's love... Samrat though furious at her for lying to him earlier, he soon forgives his little sister who was his best friend once... Suhaani was also accepted whole-heartedly in the group and she helped Mayank and Nupur during their wedding...

Suhaani fell in love with Adhiraj while pretending to be Nupur and was heart-broken when Adhiraj decided to marry Nupur... Later she accepted Adhiraj's apology and started a relationship with him when he proposed her... Suhaani leaves Excel and Adhiraj joins her too after Samrat accepted their relationship...

Adhiraj

A national level Basket ball Champion who comes to Excel as a basket ball coach and to meet Nupur... He is a family friend to the Bhushan and hence they wanted him to meet Nupur... But instead of Nupur he meets Suhaani who had come to Excel with a fake identity to meet her brother... Co-incidentally Suhaani's fake name being Nupur, Adhiraj assumes her as Nupur Bhushan and fell for her... But once he learns the truth, he felt cheated and as revenge he decided to marry Nupur thus hurting everyone in the group...

CJ

She is cool, smart, outspoken and carefree... CJ is a common friend to both Nupur and Mayank and acts as a bridge between them and enjoys their bickering a lot - "Tum dono mein se jo 1^st nahi ayega, woh 2^nd bhi nahi ayega, kyunki woh position mere liye reserved hai"... A no-nonsense person, CJ doesn't believe in mushy romance but joins the Valentines Ball as Uday's partner to save him from Diya's wrath...

Shilpa Sharma

Mayank's Mother who is more like a friend to both Mayank and Nupur... She is a friend, philosopher and guide to Mayank who wants her son to be more social and acts like his age and party and have girlfriend besides studies and assignments... She at times had acted as Nupur's partner in crime too... After Nupur and Mayank's sudden wedding, though she was upset with them but at the same time she had accepted the wedding and had taught both of them to be more mature and responsible...

Sheena

Sheena, a talented actress and bombshell, enters Excel to be part of the traditional college play... And soon after she becomes Samrat's girlfriend... Sheena was insecure of Samrat and Gunjan's close friendship and put forth a condition for Samrat to break his friendship with Gunjan... But unable to do so she accuses Gunjan of shoving her in to the pool in Samrat's farmhouse pool party... But her plan failed too when Mayank exposes her tricks and Samrat broke-up with her for blaming Gunjan...

Ranvijay

The Royal Highness Prince Ranvijay Rathore - a family legacy that he is extremely proud of... Ranvijay is a rich spoilt brat who enters Excel only to create nuisances... He flirts with Diya coz she was the most hot n happening girl in college... But after failing to win her over Ranvijay played fake love affair with her and insulted her later in the college... He is the one to drug Samrat and trapped him in a drink and drive accident case... But his entire plan failed when Mayank with the help of the others exposes him in the court and he was sent to jail for his crimes...

Annie & Chaco

Annie and Chaco are Diya's Right Hand and Left Hand... They treat her as a Princess... Follows her everywhere and do whatever Diya asks them to do...

Rohan

Rohan is the cool dude' of the college in Season 2 who is in love with Ash... He is also a chamcha' of college Professor Mayank Sharma and the Trustee of the college, Samrat Shergill... Rohan had helped Samrat in rescuing Nupur, by trapping Dhruv and exposing him...

Ashwini

Ashwini aka Ash is Gunjan's patient who lives with Gunjan after her parent's death and considers Gunjan as her Di'... She fell for Samrat and joined Excel to be his love interest... But she was heartbroken after realizing Samrat loves Gunjan... Ash had helped Samrat too in exposing Dhruv and had collected evidences against his crimes... She was later paired with Rohan...

Dhruv is a psychopath who made a breakage in Samrat's car and caused a terrible accident of the four - Samrat, Gunjan, Mayank and Nupur... He was in love with Nupur since his childhood and would go to any extent to win her... Dhruv thus planned the accident and kidnapped Nupur from the hospital and faked her death which devastated Mayank, Gunjan, Samrat and others... He was exposed after Nupur's return...

Gang stands for Samrat

Ranvijay traps Samrat in his plan for which samrat has to go to jail. In this tensed situation the sensibility and togetherness of the gang is shown very well. All of them stand with him and did everything to prove him innocent.

Gunur talk

When Nupur misunderstands Gunjan and both stop talking with each other, gang conspire together to make the two sisters clear the air and talk.

Gang Fights For Gunjan

Gunjan gets shot and misbehaved by a MLAs brother, gang vows to get justice for her and they fight with the powerful political duo to punish the culprit.

Gang reunion

Gang reunites in season 2 after Nupur gets saved from her abductor. The much awaited reunion and group hug is unforgettable one.

Sajan marriage and hug

Samrat marries Gunjan in her dream style and the gang share a cute a hug after it conveying their happiness.

Last Scene

The last episode of Mjht where Nupur gives birth to two cute twins. The last scene is shown as gang's opinion for college as responsibility, career, fun,love and Dosti. This last shot is one of the most well described, portrayed and written in MJHT.

Salaame song

The diwali party of Samrat gets rocking when he starts singing to save Gunjan from an annoyed Dia . Later the whole gang joins him on the floor dancing while a nervous Gunjan looks on.

Mahi ve

Another party song of Mjht. The mehendi ceremony of Nupur cannot be described without this sequence. From friends to family, everyone shake their leg once.

Mauja hi Mauja

Ishq hua

Beautifully shot sequence of Mjht. The lyrics of the song represented the confusions in mind and heart of the four leads. Showed as a rehearsal for the college play, everyone had a shot with the romantic music. The sequence was actually taken in one shot after continuous rehearsals by the actors which added more charm to it.

Aahista Aahista

The song in the beggining of the play,where Gunjan narrates the story of all the three couples is really brilliant.With briliiant choreography,direction and narration the song sequence achieves to give the feel of play.

Ankhein Khuli

The gang goes to get back the Morena sisters and we got to see this romantic song sequence where everybody dances. No one can forget Ankhein khuli sequence, especially sajanians as right after the sequence Samrat professes his love to his Chashmish.

Gal mithi mithi

The first party song sequence after reunion of gang in season 2. It gets more special after our Dodo aka Uday joins them. Cake fighting scene after the song is unforgettable.
