Prologue
She was running.Running as fast as she could.Running for her life.Though she knew that it was hopeless to do so.It was just futile.He would find her anyway.And when he did...No!!! She shuddered to think what might happen when he did.When he did.Not if.
No!! I can't let that happen.I will not let that happen.I must not let that happen.',she thought to herself frantically.
She had to run.But the problem was that she did not know where to go.She was surrounded by darkness everywhere.She could not feel anything around her.She opened her mouth to scream but no voice came out.
No,it cannot be like this.',she thought.
It has to be like this,dear.It was always meant to be like this.',the voice hissed.That voice was as cold as ice.It filled her with fear and awe simultaneously.
I am not scared of you.',she said.Her voice had returned.
You are.I know it very well.',that voice said.
I will not be anymore.',she said.
Looking forward to that day.But just remember this.Wherever you go,I will find you.You are mine.You were mine.And you always will be...mine',that voice whispered.
She felt her head spin.The darkness enveloped her.She heard another voice which filled her with relief.
Shona,open your eyes.Wake up!!!',said a woman's voice.It was her beloved mother's voice.Her eyelids raised themselves and she found herself in familiar surroundings.She was in her own room.But she was not in her bed.She was lying on the floor.She got up with the help of her mother.
Shona,it's the third time that such a thing has happened.I think that we should consult a doctor.',her mother said.
No,Mom.I am fine.These are just nightmares.And nothing else.I am fine.I assure you that.',she said.
Are you sure?',her mother asked sounding uncertain.
Yes,Mom.I am absolutely sure.',she said.Her mother smiled and left the room.After her mother left,she walked up to the window and opened it.She felt the cold breeze touching her.She began to shut the window but before she could she heard a faint echo.
Not just nightmares,
And I assure you that.'
Character Sketch
Swara Sengupta-She is a musician who lives with her Mom.They have never stuck to one place and have travelled all over the world before coming to settle down at Shimla which is her Mom's hometown.She does not know anything about her father apart from the fact that he died when she was a little girl.She loves her family and can do anything for them.
Sarmishtha Bose Sengupta-She is a successful entrepreneur who left India along with her daughter after her husband's demise.She loves her daughter the most.She came to settle down in India after much persuasion and coaxing by her brother and sister in law.
Ankur Bose-He is a well to do businessman who resides in Shimla with his wife.He is stern yet caring.He is a father figure for Swara.
Ananya Bose-She is Ankur's wife and Sarmishtha's sister in law.She is a very religious lady.She does not have any children of her own which is why she considers Swara as her own daughter and is over-protective of her.
Meet Luthra-He is Swara's childhood friend who has a soft corner for her.He is an architect based in the UK.He comes to Shimla only for her sake.
