See, this is the major problem that I have with Twinkle and am not buying her notion of "true love". A love that dishonors, disrespects not just you, but people that you care about, is not love at all. I am getting fed up on Twinkle constantly defending Yuvi and his abusive ways and instead insulting Kunj who is in the right. Raised by an abusive father, Kunj recognizes Yuvi to be doing the same with Twinkle and does not abide by it. But there is so little he can do when he does not even have the authority to call himself Twinkle's friend.
I understand Kunj and Yuvi are deliberately being set up as polar opposites to make the audience understand who is clearly the correct choice for Twinkle. But there is a limit to this set-up. There are some things that I can allow Twinkle to slide, but when it comes to blatant physical abuse? No. That's when she needs to take a firm stand and tell Yuvi once and after all that she won't tolerate this type of nonsense from him. If he truly loves her, then he needs to learn how to respect her first.

Excellent points and I agree that Twinkle is at the age where the thrill of a secret love with a boyfriend who is wild, reckless and spontaneous seems right and exciting. But the consequences of the family enmity escape her. She hasn't moved beyond the 'being in love' phase thats guided by movies.
Kunj while in love with another cannot see her being abused and tries to indulge her childlike personality while trying to make her understand the consequence of putting up with yuvi's rage. Hopefully he gets thru to her before its too late.
You are right about the polar opposite personalities being defined so emphatically... I hope that after getting all of us to root for Kunj they don't turn the table on us and have another scenario.
