On the Spet 12th episode we see Mrs Iyer praying to God asking Him/Her to save her family. She says she has small kids Adi and Ruhi. She asks God to save Ishu as well.
It is a known fact that Ishu loves Ruhi and that is why she even married Raman. However the way the entire Iyer family has accepted the kids as their own is amazing. For Mrs and Mr Iyer, Adi, Ruhi, Shravan and Shitija are all the same.
