Maybe he set fire to the tent so he can have an excuse to take Swara to a proper house (either this one or his own).

I just can't relate to him being drunk because he is always so alert and so focused.

I must say though that once bad guys become 'good guys' they lose their sharpness and cannot foil plans of other bad guys. When he was plotting against Swara he seemed to be leading Ragini and succeeding everytime but now that he's trying to be good he can't seem to stop Ragini.

I guess being good can be a handicap, since you aren't willing to push the boundaries as badly as villains are! 😆
