Khamoshi (Sexually Assaulted) - Telefilm by Muhammed Ahmed

Has anyone seen this telefilm? I'd highly recommend it..it's only 50 mins. It stars Muhammed Ahmed, Badar Khalil, Shakeel, Maira Khan and Hassan Niazi.

It''s written by Muhammed Ahmed. It's really well written, enacted and directed. I saw Muhammed Ahmed share it on a facebook page (talk, dammit) that shares stories about child abuse. This is what he had to say exactly:

I wrote this as a play , which was initially banned then was aired after changing its climax. They say such incidents do not occur in our society. Channels even blamed me for writing such things , they said it will harm our relaionships and family values.

The telefilm deals with child abuse by portraying a harsh reality (extremely disturbing). TvOne was the channel that finally took it up (so of course no one watched it).

Well if you're recommending it and channels have refused to air it, there must be something about it. They must be handling the situation realistically. Will definitely check it out.

They should have more shows on social issues rather than doorsrI Biwi and love triangles.
Just because it's swept under the rug doesn't mean it doesn't happen. They should put a rating on such shows and air them late In the evening.
Even though there is a lot of rape shown in the dramas these days, none of them tackle the issue the way it should be, I wish they give these topics the respect and sensitivity they deserve.

Looks good, especially if its written by Muhammad Ahmed. We need more shows like this, sensible takes on important issues in society.
