If Arthashastra is grasped in its entirety and Kautilya neeti is the reference then politics is a career of the scholarly.

true, but since intellect is so rarely revered today, the same BELAN politics that ruined traditional home structures seems to have taken front seats even in legislative assemblies!
I don't think even Chanakya was well-equipped to encounter that 😆.. and I wonder what profession he would have chosen today 😳..
Wonder if it would be something like "Dil me mere dar e disco" 😆😆 / "tuze dekhaa..... to yeh jaanaa sanam!! "

PS- i respect Chanakya and find him above mundane economics / finance scholars.. sincere apologies to take chanakya to switzerland under yash banner or to dance with qt s 😉

Kautilya is the author of Arthashastra. Kautilya is otherwise known as Chanakya.😊 The same person you visualized QT dancing with in Swiss mountains😆😆.

I do wish to join in Politics...seriously..but my family members donot agree to it 😊!! So dropped that idea..temporarily..becoz..when I cannot convince my own folks..how can I convince other people😊....winning a local election is also a tough thing these days...it not about the matter of idealogy but how much money you can afford to spend to win the election...

On a serious note, it is not a preferred choice simply because of the negative connotations associated with it such as corruption, scandals, animosity etc. Also, it does not offer stability like a 9-5 job would.
