Sukirti Kandpal is quite happy with the progress of her & TV show Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls, "I am getting very positive feedback from the audiences. They like
the fact that Dabbu is quite goofy and fun loving." But point out that the ratings are not very good? and she says, "sadly people sitill seem to be liking saas- bahu concepts more Having said that I am sure that most people who watch the show will be able to identify with the character's. I wish that more such non-traditional shows must continue to be made. For let's face it a large section of our population is youth."Are you disappointed with the ratings" not really disappointed for being a realist I also accept the fact that change never happen in a hurry. For me my job is done even if five people watch the show and tell me they liked my work. However I accept that numbers are important, but why spoil sleep over stuff which I have no control over."Ask her about rumours that show might end next month and Sukirti says, "I have not heard any such news and I don't think it to be true. Here she did admit that the show had lost focus for a while in an attempt to experiment, "but we are now back on track."On Sara Khan walking out due to perception's that her character was ignored she says, "I don't want to comment on why and how as that is not my concern. But I would like to point out that you have to accept that the love story between Dylan (Aamir Ali) and my character will have preeminence over the saga of five sisters. I also don't think that she has really quit the show completely for we recently shot a scene where we show that we are speaking to her who is now in US."Sukirti who had done limited work over the years says, "I can't do stuff just for the sake of being seen. I need to be kicked enough to come to work every day. I deliberately choose character's which are different from the other's I have done before (Dill Mill Gayye, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya and Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani) and addresses the concerns of the youth."
