Sallu: "Abe saamne se hatt, marna hai kya??"
The Regional Transport Office of Bandra, Mumbai, today announced that it would be opening a new office exclusively for the family and attendants of Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The move comes in the wake of the driver of Salman's brother, actor and director Sohail Khan, living up to the infamous family tradition of errant driving, leading to collateral damage in the form of casualties, usually poor footpath dwellers.
The announcement was made by Transport Commissioner, RTO, Bandra, Shri V. N. More a few hours after the incident. "It looks like driving rules and regulations laid forth by the Motor Vehicles Act are not clearly understood by Mr.Salman Khan's family and their coterie, even after being issued driving licenses. To make things easier for them, we will have a new office set up for the sole purpose of ensuring that their drivers are not given licenses without rigorous training and testing. We anticipate more such accidents in the years to come, what with the street population of Mumbai set to increase, coupled with Salman's hectic lifestyle."
Bollywood, however, has unreservedly backed Salman, with several celebrities taking to Twitter in support of the superstar. "T-420: Sad that the Bandra RTO has decided to punish Salman's household for an error by some driver," tweeted Big B. "I am horrified! This is really unfair on RTO's part yaa" tweeted Salman's "Dabangg" heroine, Sonakshi Sinha. The only odd tweet appeared from Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, reading "Mwahahaha! :D" (sic) and was quickly retweeted by Vivek Oberoi and Aishwarya Rai.
The general public, meanwhile, was up in arms about the incident, with furious Tweeters clearly making their outrage known. However, only a minor section of the Tweeters appeared to be outraged with the Khans for their part in the tragic incident, with the rest at main stream media instead for referring to Sohail Khan as an actor' in their headlines.
