Welcome Back has had a strong first day with collections set to come in at around 14.50 crore nett. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the biggest opening of the year at 26.50 crore nett while ABCD 2 is next best at 14.25 crore nett. The collections of Welcome Back should be able to surpass ABCD 2 when final collections come in the morning. The collections in metro multiplexes are a little lower than ABCD 2 but better in other parts of the country.

The collections could have went higher but there some issues as 300 digital prints could not be uploaded at in their respective cinemas. The film has done very well in most circuits of India and its a good number for a non holiday.

The film does have a big budget so there is a bit to cover yet but there is plenty of scope for improvement as metros can make ground on Saturday. The Welcome franchise has been well established as the film found huge success on television and this made sure the film generated good footfalls on day one.

How on EARTH did THIS happen?😲

And people thought Welcome will flop while Phantom will become blockbuster hit😆

I dunno what made Akki leave these filams and Aankhen 2 and HP3. Had Akki be in WB it would have taken more big opening and hilarious comic timing by him.

I'm thinking it's because these films have less scope for the lead. Actors like Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, and Nana Patekar would have to get more scope in those respective films...maybe Akki doesn't want to do these kind of films anymore

In Singh is Blingg, seems like Akki is the sole hero. He's definitely not doing that one for the script😆

I watched the film and trust me if it sustains it will be a great miracle. It is nothing compared to the first one. Even Humshakals had a great opening and everyone was way too quick to label it a "surprise hit."

Hmmm might be right for WB but for Aankhen 2 and HP3 its solely based on leads only why he's not doing those nice filams. HP series is rated one of the besht comdy movies in Bollywood. SIB is giving vibes like SIK. 😆
