Three months passed by in a blink but for the couple, each day had been nothing but great. Like any other couple, they had their fights once in a while. Arnav still had occasional temper outbursts, but it was nothing a certain Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada couldn't handle, after all she did have the Singh Raizada tag behind her name now. Even with the downs, she wouldn't have had it any other way. To her, being married to Arnav was the best thing that ever happened. In fact, now that she thought about it, their previous differences and fights had only strengthened their bond that was now stronger than ever. Sometimes she would sit and be amazed as how much Arnav had changed. He still was ASR, but to the world only. To her, he was simply Arnav. The man who made her feel like she was the only woman in his world.
"Khushi.. I'm sorry for hurting you" he whispered into her ear from behind, one arm snaked possessively over her bare waist. Closing her eyes in embarrassment, she pursed her lips and turned in his arms to face him. Her eyes were downcast. "Khushi..?" Arnav breathed.
"Arnavji.." Khushi lifted her eyes to look at him. He raised one eyebrow and Khushi quickly corrected herself. "Arnav" her eyes fell to his bare chest "ji" the ji was almost inaudible but because Arnav was so close, he heard it. He chuckled, shaking his head at her cuteness. She smiled sheepishly. "Khushi.." he sighed before a devilish gleam appeared in his eyes. "After the night we just had, you still want to call me with the ji? I distinctly remember someone calling out my name without the ji just a few minutes ago.." he teased and laughed at the scandalized look on her pretty face. He loved that he could bring out so many sides of her, feisty one moment and shy the next. As Khushi refused to look anywhere but at his chest, with her cheeks colored a bright pink, he leaned forward to kiss the corner of her bottom lip. Her eyes widened and she took a shallow breath. Hey Devi Maiyya, the things this man did to her.
"I guess we will just have to have many more of such nights like this to get you out of the ji habit. We should practice it, what do you say? How about another round of-" Khushi poked his bare stomach and stared at him with wide innocent eyes as he chuckled deeply. Khushi hid her face his his neck.
Keeping his laughter in, he turned serious. "Khushi, I mean it. I'm sorry." Khushi immediately moved back to face him. "No Arnavji, I'm fine. You were very.. gentle. It was beautiful.. *smiles* I'll be okay" she firmly reassured him.
He sat up slightly and cupped her face, searching her face for the truth. "Khushi? Wait.. Are you.. was I too rough? Are you hurt? I should call a doctor-"
"Arnavji! I just told you I'm fine..? Why-"
"Khushi I was apologizing for something else"
"Oh.." she frowned. "What for?" Her eyebrows pulled together as she furiously tried to think of what made him say sorry. Was he regretting their first night together? Did she not.. she gulped. Was he disappointed with her? Maybe he never wanted to be in bed with her again. Her face fell. She had thought it was magical..
"Khushi, what I meant to say was that-"
"Arnavji im sorry, I didn't.. *gulps* it was my first time.. I'm sorry if i.. I mean, I didn't know what.. to do" she whispered in defeat refusing to look into his eyes. Her lack of knowledge in this area must have turned him off.
"Khushi! Don't you dare- what the! What are you going on about? Your first time? I know that! Why the hell would you- You think.." He stopped abruptly. Did she seriously think he was disappointed? This woman! His eyes narrowed and his jaw clenched. He roughly pulled her face to his and kissed her till she was dazed. He pulled back. "Now you listen to me Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada and don't you dare say a word until I'm done speaking. Do you understand?" he bit out. She opened her mouth to answer but his one look shut her up and instead she nodded her head obediently.
"First of all, you need to let me finish. I wasn't apologizing for tonight. I dont regret it at all. I don't care that you don't know much about this, in fact im glad you don't. Coz I would be very upset if you knew. Khushi, I loved tonight. Do you get that? I loved every bit of it. What happened tonight was nothing short of a miracle to me. You gave me something precious, and I'll be damned if you think I'm upset coz of that!" She stared at him in amazement. His eyes shone with sincerity and she knew he was telling the truth. So then what was he apologizing for?
"Khushi" he continued. "I was apologizing for what I did before. *Gulp* for what.. for how I was before. How I treated you, that wasn't right and-"
"Arnav Singh Raizada!" She cut him off and ignored his look at being interrupted yet again.
"Just like how you couldn't wait another minute to cut in and straighten out my thoughts, im doing the same with you! Now you wait and listen to me." He pursed his lips. "And you can shout at me after im done. Okay? Okay." She rattled on and he looked on at her in slight amusement.
"Why are you bringing this up now Arnavji? We've discussed this before. And it's all in the past. It doesn't matter anymore, I've forgotten everything and forgiven everything too. And before you ask me how I can do that" she read his questioning look, "Its very simple Arnavji. Its because I love you. It's that simple. Please, lets not talk about this again. Specially not right now.." she almost pleaded, wanting the bad memories to stay back. Arnav sensed the change in her and lightened the air.
"You're right Khushi, we shall not speak of this again." A mischievous gleam entered his eyes."Tonight, more actions should be done instead of words being spoken. Right? " He questioned innocently. Khushi found herself nodding three times as she got lost into his eyes before being horrified and shaking her head no' Arnav took her in a tight hug and took in a deep breath, content being with his wife.
"And now for round two" he teased her further. He pulled back from the hug and gazed at her. "You sure you're okay?" he tried to read her eyes.
Khushi pulled him in for a kiss.
"Khushi!" Arnav called out and Khushi's head snapped over to look at him at the entrance of their room. Putting on a happy smile she went over to greet him and hugged him. She rested the side of her head against his broad and strong chest, her arms going below his to meet at his back while his snaked around her tiny waist. He dropped a kiss on her hair.
"Khushi?" he pulled back but she resisted and so he let her stay. He sensed she needed the hug. "Khushi, what's wrong?" he enquired gently.
Khushi pulled back from the warm hug reluctantly. She led him further into the room by his wrist and closed the doors. Arnav waited in patience. Clearly, his wife wanted to discuss something. Khushi came to stand in front of him with a happy smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.
"Khu-"
Khushi grabbed his hand and brought it below her stomach. Arnav looked on puzzled. He stared at her hand above his. He looked into her eyes that now had tears. His eyes slowly widened in understanding and was nearly blinded by the thousand watt smile that finally reached her eyes. She gave him a teary smile and he gaped at her before he lifted her and spun her around. She shrieked and held onto him before laughing out. He put her down on her feet and rested his forehead against hers.
"Baby Raizada.." both whispered in a wistful tone, the words leading onto a promising future together.
