lack of communication

don't you all ever wonder how 99% of the times serials run on the fact that there is lack or no communication between the mains of the serials? Like why doesn't in this scenario Pragya talks to Abhi or at least let him know that she loves him and this is to expose Tanu and Aliya and if he doesn't believe to give her like a week's time or something..

oh well otherwise how will they make serials go on for so long.. a quick question cause I haven't watched in ages.. does Dadi know she's good? read someone's post but didn't really understand.. thanks!
