I had no clue that konkona was older than Ranbir when they did wakeup sid. I just thought she had a mature character. This is a good topic. But I think that if we take for example the aish and ranbir movie that's coming up I think that a lot of fans are really excited to see this pairing I think the aunty comments that we see here by some is just them trying to be mean to her fans than actually to her. I think that the audience if given a chance would watch something diff, a diff sort of movie, a different pairing bt it has to be marketed properly and the movie has to be actually good. The last few movies that have come out of bw and that have done well have been good movies and different. I think that the audience is ready to see the older actresses back in the game and be paired opposite a sid or ranveer bt it seems its might be for 2 actresses only kajol and aish. I dnt see the interest in the rest of the older actresses by fans and I think the reason why these 2 are still wanted by the audience is coz of the fact that they haven't been over exposed to the audience when they wnt in movies. But in a way I do think think that actresses are to blame for the current trend. Forget turning 30 as soon as they get married its suddenly them not doing any work and not being interested in bw. Madhuri once she got married moved to another country and then came back. Why couldn't she stay and do quality work once in a while like hw kajol did. And now kkk is probably the only actress who is over 35 and married who still commands the same amt of attention that she got b4 and this is because she never allowed herself to be just a housewife she always stayed in the game. Then there is Rani she does 1 film and goes into hibernation. Quite frankly I think this is a great time for the older actresses to come back and do good films with be it the new or older actors. I actually think they should be begged to come back and do a movie with these youngsters. I know that Varun would fall over himself to work with Preity. I would love to see Kajol and Sid together they would look hot together. And another movie btw Rani and HR would be awesome. But really I think at the moment I think most of us are tired of watching alia in every 2nd film that girl is literally being forced down our throats by kjo. Those olders actresses should be begged to come back and replace alia lol. But what I also dnt get is that deepika looks great with srk. Sona looks great with salman, jacky looks amazing with akki. If some1 looks good why should we bother about their age? I find it very weird how BW fans disrespect the older male actors and make it seem as if they dnt have anything to offer and should just play father roles and nothing more. HW has great older actors like jack nickolson, anthoy hopkins I dnt think I have heard their haters/ fans say they too old to be romancing any1. But BW needs a big wakeup. I am so sick of those kjo unrealistic movies and now him and his faithful side kick is going to dominate the industry. Totally sucks
