why is the solution to all problems is a bad marriage?
the tsm team says that we should be proud of amaya for loving her family more.

so why cannot she show this love by telling rama's horrid mummy to go take a hike. why cannot hse love her real family by telling the manipulative GC to get lost. by telling that the girls may have different fathers but they love each other to death.

why cant we be proud of girls who talk back and refuse to be degraded

on a serious note, this kind of thinking forces millions of girls in india to live with bad marriages and abusive inlaws. bec of familys izzat. and the shows further promote this.

Agreed! Also what do CVs think that when this so called temporary marraige will end, it won't cost both the family's izzat...Same wid Amaya standing in place of her sister in the marraige, thats a humiliation in itself fr her family n herself.

Hi bips! we use to be in the pr forum together @kools commentary! nice bumping into you here but sad that its at the end of my TSM journey. didn't you get the director's cut? amaaya is the new archana/purvi mata. its all about sacrifices! apparently 80% of indian women are custom designed by mahadev just for this purpose- to 'sacrifice' for their family and in the process fudge everyones lives over. if she fought for her family and told rama's mama to take a hike that wouldnt be very mahaan and indian of her. indian women are like goats and chickens- we must sacrifice for our families, thats our only purpose in life. we should all just boycott schooling and working and using our heads, whats the point? its gonna be on the chopping blocks next to the chickens very soon, so that our families- especially the men, can eat. our social structure is dependent on us women degrading ourselves and on the ladkiwalo ki families being degraded. how else would the men establish their worth?

One one hand every one keeps talking about educating girls to make them self independent and on other hand star plus teaches or rather wants to prove a point girls cannot stand for them selves . Giving up the house , marrying someone for artificial family sake is totally not what today's educated and that also foreign graduated girl wOuld do . I would seriously like the I&b ministry to send notice to star plus and such TV series who are promoting dowry and abuse for DIL for family sake . Time everyone should stop watching such series

PR days were fun. We ripped apart the serial on a daily basis yet continued to watch it! ...

that 80% statement was so so shitty. Its like there is complete disconnect between people's brains and their mouth.

Women "sacrifice" because they usually have no choice - We are culturally trained to think of ourself in the end. And even then everyone from family to distant relatives to aire-gaire neighbours feel it is their duty to treat the girls as doormats. I would think that a girl from an urban well educated, open minded family who was pampered by her father like a princess would at least not do this ghisa pita natak ...

but what to do ? ... first SP completely ruined DYM and now this ... and seeing the released pictures/ interviews its obvious that "torture amaya" is the motto of the show now ... everybody is going to take turns

As much as I hate GC - him begging in front of rama's mother was disgusting ... it just reinforced the idea that we girls are burdens that need to be quickly disposed off thru marriage ... and even a normally proud, arrogant, super rich man will also beg because he is "ladkiwala"

Had amaya got that witch arrested for asking dowry, i would have given her a standing ovation

Firstly, Rachita's and Rama's wedding itself should not be happening. Rachita doesn't have to put up with a marriage because of some photos. And now this Amaya-Rama sham wedding is just... . Looks like the CVs want to show that despite education, financial independence and being brought up in progressive environments, a girl can't take a stand for herself...

In real life, girls are beginning to take a stand. But our desi show writers would like to believe the contrary since it gets them more ratings.

Its the unending cycle of demand and supply. Desi shows continue to churn out such nonsense for higher TRPs. And the TRP audience continue to watch such shows and revert back to the dark ages.
