Frankly if any character in NAUC won my heart other than Saurabh's and Priyanka's (Viraj toh has been an all time favorite) it was Kaira. The Character wasn't typically white or black but did have essence of being grey.
Kaira was initially introduced merely as a character who was Viraj's past during the Aarti track. Her actual past equations with Viraj remain a mystery till date. They were supposed to be engaged but they didn't reason ?May be it was highlighted somewhere in Viraj's mail to Aarti .Something like she loved someone else and is happy with that person now.
C.V.'s conveniently forgot this I guess while reintroducing her in Viraj's life. She didn't come back on her own,She was brought back by buaji who wanted full control over Viraj after the whole P.C fiasco. Poor girl turned into puppet as sshe was in debt and needed money.
Well here I was surprised because if Kaira needed money she could have asked Viraj directly to help . He might have not refused. She didn't do it probably because past equations weren't that well between them to have monetary transactions .She probably didn't have courage or she didn't want him to know that she was in huge trouble.(My take)
Then came Viraj's realisation of love for Nisha but (The academy scene where he imagines nisha) & Later misunderstands Kaira to be Nisha.Kaira was really concerned for Viraj at that moment as a genuine friend.
She wasn't liking buaji's plan at all. However hard she tried her friend's sad face disheartened her always.
The Holi party .Kaira did manage to take Viraj out though she was herself quite unwilling. I always felt Kaira''s character remained subdued n unexplored thnks to Buaji.
Kabir n Kaira's bumping into each other n Kaira giving him a piece of her mind did show she was arrogant,proudy when it came to outsiders n people she didn't like.
The scene where Kaira pulled Viraj away from Nisha while Nisha was defending Kabir was great. Kaira's eyes showed that she could feel viraj's pain . Same in Nibir's Balam pichkari dance.
Then came the engagement announcement n Kaira's buying the engagement ring. She did insult Nisha including Gayatri but only to make Nisha jealous. She still had hopes on Niraj( when fans like us gave up :p).the Niraj scene when nisha is at shop and viraj outside and kAIRA IN CAR .I think that was the moment Kaira realised that Viraj was getting engaged in rage and they had no future probably not at that point. may be later (Which c.v.s didn't bother to let happen.)
Kairaj and Nibircar race scene for parking. That was best thing. The way Kaira told him to let go. N he said he can't and Kaira's eyes had tears if you actually rewind that sscene.
Then choosing the marriage card. Well Kaira knew how to showoff her status. Her clearly saying the shop -keeper aap jaante hai na ki aap kisse mana kar rahein hai depicted all the royal gurur needed.
When Nisha was pleading to Viraj for a chance, Kaira had a faint smile which turned into shock whenViraj preponed their engagement to Nibir's marriage date.
Here Kaira got restless day by day. I actually felt she was dying hundred deaths in decieving Viraj.
She managed to spit out the whole Because she could not bear Viraj's condition . He was always being decieved n that wrenched Kaira's heart .When Buaji's P .C truth came out in front of her she was shocked n couldn't bear it.
Well her telling the truth n asking viraj to go to nisha was something an eye treat. The best part of her character.
When later Viraj comes back defeated n is drinking she asks him If he is ok and tells him she is leaving. MY HEART LITERALLY CRIED AT THAT MOMENT.
If there was a person who genuinely cared for Viraj after dadji it was Kaira. The way C.V's decided to end her character abruplty without exploring her relation with Viraj wasn't something I liked.
But then her staying back could have helped Viraj heal his wounds.
Phewww. I wrote that. People it would be Nice if you comment ,Crticize or appreciate. Kaira was the most genuine Character on the shw as Far as my viewpoint goes but then we can agree to disagree. I am actually fascinated by it
