Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda's film, a biopic on Sarbjit Singh, helmed by Omung Kumar is scheduled to release on May 20, 2016.
Interestingly, when the makers announced the project earlier in the year, they had made it very clear that they were keen to take the film to Cannes 2016. Producer Sandeep Singh had revealed to us, "The film is scheduled to go on floors in October 2015. It is a 70 days schedule in Punjab and we aim to release this film in Cannes 2016 with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan."
While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays the role of Dalbir Kaur, who happens to be Sarbjit's sister, Sarbjit would be portrayed by Randeep Hooda.
