According to latest reports, the situation in the holy city of Banaras is heating up. We hear that two groups are gearing up for an amazing cricket match. On the one hand, we have Ramashrey's family, headed by his Nani and vice-captain his Buaji who call themselves the Sanskaar team and on the other hand we have the Mathur clan headed by Amaya Mathur. The position of vice-captain in this team is open. The team has been named the New Generation team.
The teams intend to play a series of seven one day matches from dawn to sunset. The venue of this epic match is the Chaubey-Mathur haveli. Interestingly, the Sanskaar seems to have no worries about playing this game in the New Generation team's home turf. We spoke to the Captain of the Sanskaar team and she said, "We don't care where we play, we intend to get down and dirty and win the championship somehow, anyhow! We have years of experience playing such games and are backed by religion, age and superstitions aplenty."
Amaya Mathur, the captain of the New Generation team too seemed pretty confident. "It's our home turf and I will not let anyone come in and win over us. If they play down and dirty, so will we!"
During the first day of the match, Gupta family's bowling attack was pretty strong. They did not spare even the bystanders in the match, aiming a googly with a ball of mango leaves right at Mr. Mantu. However, Mr. Manohar, another bystander, managed to hit the ball to the boundary.
The next victim of the Guptas' bowling attack was Ms. Sneha Mathur. Naniji claimed that Sneha Mathur should not be allowed to play because she had a better figure and wore pretty sarees that was distracting for her team. Amaya Mathur, captain of team New Generation, insisted that it was a new generation thing to stay fit and look pretty but Sneha Mathur withdrew from the game anyhow.
Captain Amaya Mathur then took over the batting and hit a sixer out of the park with the ball of cow dung thrown her way. Naniji stopped bowling immediately after citing heartburn due to Amaya's theekhiness.
A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in the name of Mr. Mantu for being conspicuously absent during Ms. Amaya Mathur's amazing sixer. It was alleged that Mr. Mantu was required to be present at the venue to witness the sixer to be suitably impressed by Ms. Amaya Mathur's skills. However, the accused remained absent and lost the opportunity to fall head over heels in love with Ms. Amaya Mathur's skills and knowledge about cow dung. The PIL has been filed on behalf of this reporter at The TSM Times.
The TSM Times reporter talked to Mr. GC to find out which team he was a part of and what he thought of Ms. Amaya Mathur's innings. This is what he had to say. "I am a very sanskaari person and I hold all the values that team Sanskaar upholds. However, I really need to get these girls married off so I will keep switching teams depending on the situation. As of now, I am proud of Amaya Mathur! She is my grand daughter after all! She cannot go wrong!"
Mr. Rudra has requested for police protection. We hear that this is due to increased threats to his brahmacharya!
