Chapter 9

Taani glance at her reflection in miror, she was dressed in beautiful saree, ready to meet her husband, who had come to pick her. Satisfied with her look, she decided to go downstairs. She walked over the door and opened it, taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, she stepped out of the room. From the top of the stairs, she saw him, he was sitting with her father, in hall, looked busy in chit chatting with her father.

She descended down the stairs, gracefully. Feeling her presence, he turned his head and saw her. He hadn't heard what his father-in-law was saying, all he could hear was his own heartbeats, his heart beating loudly, in her presence. He smiled at her slightly and stare at the breath taking coming toward him, in awe, sh walked toward him, with a shy smile plastered on her lips.

She went and sat beside her father, her mother brought snacks for them and sat beside taani. Her parents were busy in talking with him while she sat there, quietly listening to their talks. After a hour or so, They decided to leave. Taani hugged her parents

"Take care beta, and call me when you reach home." Her mother told her, lovingly. Taani nodded, with her moist eyes. Rey watched this scene, silently. As much as he hates to see tears in her eyes, he could understand the emotions of a daughter.

Rey took his in-laws blessings and they both left in their car. Rey drove away to his office as he had some work there then, they will return back home.

"Reyaansh, Where are we going?" Taani asked him, realizing they are not going home.

"We are going to office, I have some work there then, we will go home." Rey answered her, Taani hummed in response. He glance at her and found her staring out of the window. He placed his hand on her, which was rested on her thigh. Taani looked at him and smile as he held her hand tightly.

"How was last night? Missed me?" Rey asked her, play fullness was visible in his voice. She blushed and looked away from causing him to chuckle at her shy nature.

"I missed you" Taani mumbled shyly. Rey smiled hearing her melodic sweet voice. Then, whole journey went in with them having light conversation.

They reached office, Rey parked his car and they both entered the office premises. Receptionist greeted them politely as they walked passed by. They both passed by the staff members who greeted them, with a smile. Rey walked with her, by his side, Nodding his head in response to the while Taani just passed them a small smile.

Rey opened the door of his cabin, for her. Taani smiled at him and entered the cabin, he followed her and locked the door.

Taani gasped when he pinned her to the wall, his body crashed into hers, her hand pushed against his chest. He leaned and captured her lips in his, kissing her softly. Taani come out of the shock state, and wrapped her arms around his neck as she started responding to his kiss.

"I missed kissing you the most." Rey whispered against her lips, and again he pulled her in passionate kiss, this time he was rough and demanding, wanting her equal participation which she gave. The softness of her lips werent new to him but every time he kissed her it feels it was first time he was kissing her.

Taani's breathing hitched and she felt like she was in a world of bliss in the matter of seconds. He didn't give her time to think, he just claimed her as his and pushed further. He slide his tongue inside her mouth, tasting her sweetness.He kissed her till they were both breathless.

His eyes bore into her, they had look of love in them. She could smell his woody scent from this close. It was so manly and comforting. It made her heart quicken but made her feel safe at the same time. She held her breath but still could not ignore the thrilling pain that went through her body as his fingers brushed her back. A gasp escape from her lips when he nuzzled his face between crook of her neck.

She blushed and hugged him tightly, sliding her arms around his torso.

"Reyaansh, You had some here. Go and finish it." Taani reminded him, Rey broke the hug and mocked glare at her, for ruining his moment with her.

"Ese dekhne se kuch nahi hone wala. Aap jaaiye aur kaam kijiye." Taani said to him, seeing him glaring at her, mockingly though. She gently pushed him toward his desk.

"Okay. Okay. I'm going. You sit here, I have to go and attend a small meeting with my lawyer then, we will leave. I'll be back in " Rey told her. Taani nodded in response. Rey made her sit on his chair and then, he left the cabin but not before telling peon to brought snacks for taani.

While he was in meeting with his lawyer, taani was sitting in his cabin, getting bore as she has nothing else to do. She sip her coffee, her eyes roaming around, trying to find something that would catch her attention when her gaze fall over her photo frame placed on his desk, a smile appeared on her face as she looked at it. It was her engagement day photograph.

"Itna pyar karte ho aap mujhse?" Taani wondered, with a shy smile. Feeling out of the world realizing depth of his love, slowly and deeply.

She was lost in her own wrold but a knock on the door brought her back in to reality. She glance at the door, it creaked open and a girl in her mid twenties entered inside, clad in short black dress.

"Who are you? And why the hell are you sitting on Rey's chair?" The girl shouted, Taani frowned at her, was confused who she is and why she is shouting at her?

"First of all, please stop shouting, and who are you? Reyaansh is busy in meeting." Taani told her calmly. That girl glared at her, in anger and marched toward her.

"Listen! You bit.."

"Rhea! Shut the hell up." Rey's angry voiced boomed in cabin, He was looking like an angry lion. Taani stood up from her place and stare at her husband then, at the new girl, who's name is Rhea. Rey was angry on Rhea, for insulting his wife, his taani.

"How dare you talk to her like that?" Rey shouted her in anger, Rhea flinched away. He had never behaved like this with her before. She is working with him on upcoming project and her family is close friend of singhania's. She wasn't in india for few months so, she wasn't aware about his marriage.

"Rey! Who is this girl? She was sitting on your chair. How could you let someone enter your cabin like that.." Rhea questioned him back angrily. Taani was scared seeing his eyes filled with rage, though his anger was not directed toward her but still it scared the life out of her.

"She is my wife damn it! Who are you to question her?" Rey yelled at her, taani closed her eyes, keep assuring herself that, she doesn't need to fear him, he loves her, won't harm her.

"Wife? When you got married?" Rhea asked him, quiet shocked after the new information, she got.

"I got married few days back. Now, Apologize to her and leave from here." Rey told her, his tone was stern and sharp. He just want her to get out of his sight, she had bad mouth about his taani, he can't forget it.

"I'm sorry." Rhea whispered before she ran out of the room, feeling insulted and angry. After she left, Rey closed his eyes to calm his anger. Opening his eyes, he stare at her, who looked quiet frighten. He cursed himself for losing control over his anger before her but he couldn't control himself at that time.

Rey opened his arms, wide and signaled her to come. Without waisting any moment, she ran and hugged him tightly.

"Tum theek ho?" Rey asked her, hugging her tightly, close to him heart. Taani hummed in response, hiding her face in his broad chest. Everything felt right in his arms, she felt safe in his embrace.
